these are both old men ready to be taken. If Dawson is as good as everyone says he is he should demolish Glen '11 losses' Johnson.I have no idea why Tarver is the favorite to beat Wodds.I believe Woods will win a competitive but comfortable decision

I'm really looking forward to both fights.

Johnson will be a solid test for Dawson and i want to see how he does.

And we will see where exactly Tarver is at right now when he faces Woods.

That's a funny thread title, Titan. Still, while I expect Dawson to get the victory, I don't think that Glen Johnson is an easy win for anybody. I won't be hard on Chad if The Road Warrior makes it tough.

I've never been all that impressed with Woods, but Tarver seems to be a shadow of what he once was. Not sure who takes that one.

    Again, nice thread. :good

I don't think anyone will "demolish" Glen Johnson. He's been around too long and knows too much to get destroyed.

Dawson should still get a decision here.

I agree with Sam that Tarver is clearly finished, but to me, Woods is no great shakes. This will most likely be a pretty boring tactical fight with Woods taking a narrow unanimous decision and Tarver bitching that he got robbed.

Re why is Tarver favorite, as Lou Del Valle says here:

He won't get a decision in Tampa. Not good given Woods' ain't really a ko artist.

Tarver a shadow of what he once was? His only claim to fame is a lucky punch on RJJ, and a W against RJJ who was scared to get KO'd. Besides that, what has he done? Tarver being a shadow of himself= Tarver being a shadow of nothing.

D, I don't want to take this thread down a "how good was Tarver" debate. I think he was better than you give him credit for being, and sounds like you think I overrate him. But all I said was he wasn't as good as he used to be. Do you really disagree with that statment?

Keep posting, brother. I love that avatar.

I can agree with him not being as good as he was. But I think I do down play his accomplishments a tad, but that's neither here nor there.

Thanks about the avatar. M.Ford is SEXY:good

We can certainly agree that Tarver has never been as good as he THOUGHT he was.

And Ms. Ford makes it two things on which we share an opinion. :yep

I think Dawson will pull away from Glen over the course of the fight, although I expect him to get tested. I'll be surprised and impressed if he stops Johnson.

Tarver is shot and Woods should beat him. If Clinton maintains a steady workrate, he might even stop him.

Judging from the way that Tarver has looked in his last few fights I would say that its hard to think of him as a fave......I think that Tarver is better then Woods, but im not sure who is going to win this fight.

Johnson on the other hand isnt a easy fight for anyone, And I would bet that he wont be for Dawson.

Since quite a few people think the judges will be biased that will probably be the reason why they will be fair.
