According to BS they have been advised that a deal has NOT been reached for Bermane Stiverne to challenge WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder on November 4th, in a Showtime televised main event from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Stiverne's management team of Josh Dubin and James Prince, have informed ******* that they have yet to reach an agreement with Stiverne's promoter, Don King.

According to Dubin and Prince, a deal was reached between King and the handlers of Wilder - but King has yet to discuss the agreed-upon terms with Stiverne's managers or the fighter.

Stiverne, who is Wilder's mandatory challenger, was already scheduled to fight on the undercard of the November 4 event, against Dominic Breazeale. The winner of Stiverne-Breazeale was guaranteed a shot at Wilder.

But then Stiverne was catapulted to the main event, after Wilder's original opponent Luis Ortiz was removed due to a failed random drug test.

Showtime has already announced the Wilder-Stiverne showdown as the new headliner of the card.

Stiverne's managers have been unable to get in contact with King to work out the financial details for the fight and the boxer will not sign a bout agreement until those terms have been worked out.

Despite the current situation, Stiverne is actively training for the date and hopes a deal can be reached with his promoter.

I hope it does. I just want this over with and then never hear Stiverne mentioned again.

Wilder trying to avoid the fight just meant we had to deal with hearing about Stiverne for like... what? 6 months? And now we still have to endure the fight anyway. No thanks.

only problem with that result is that Wilder will demand a rematch and we'll get a Wilder/Stiverne trilogy!

This is a big fight, Mayweather - Pacquiao took 5 years to make, so this will take some time.

Considering this, it's probably best to postpone the fight.

Its probably best for all concerned if this fight doesnt happen

Its a disgrace to the sport that such a poor quality fighter, who has been completely inactive 4 years other than sneaking a life and death decision over Derrick Rossy, is a "mandatory challenger".

As much shame and embarrassment as possible needs to mounted onto Deonkey, perhaps he might one day fight a pulse.

Nothing is going to be finalized until Wilders system has been nearly cycled for PEDS.

King being King, likely looking for some kind of angle to screw someone over. Maybe looking to extend a contract with Stiverne before agreeing to finalize the fight so he has him trapped in case Stiverne somehow wins.
