No disrespect to Froch, but lets be honest....

This fight was ONLY close because Kessler has slipped a great deal. The Kessler of 3 years ago woulda either won by wide UD, or late stoppage. Mikkel is nowhere near as quick pulling the trugger as he used to be, and his workrate has dropped, and his reflexes have declined. These things were all apparent.

Perhaps. Froch is older than Kessler. According to Kessler he was unprepared for Ward and had a long layoff and lacked motivation. For Froch he was 100% also gave his all in the ring and the crowd support motivated him as the fact that had he lost he was facing retirement.

Eh, who knows what would have happened? Either way they fought right now, and it was a great fight.

Kessler has been at the top of the scene for awhile though. Age means nothing in boxing. Froch might be a year old, but he's still in his prime, while Kessler is past his.

What a load of shite! Peoplesay some crazy things after fights!

If you had started a thread and said wow what a fight! Candidate for fight of the year, certainly round of the year!

Then followed with something like..... I had it 115-113 to kessler the guy was magnificent however if I was in Nottingham froch probably did enough to get a SD Dirrell style

THAT would have been a better thread

froch is better than some people make out. he looks ****, but when you got a guy who hits hard keeps coming forward no matter what you throw at him, then the fight does become hard. i have never seen a fighter beat froch easily, so that says alot about him. i don't think abraham will beat him easily either, but ward has the sytle to cause froch the most problems, same as dirrell if they fight a rematch.

    Kessler hasn't slipped.

He's just always been somewhat ordinary in terms of his technique. He didn't win on technique anyways. He won on guts. That might have been something Froch did not anticipate.

Froch is actually a very good boxer. He improvises which is what a lot of guys do not do these days. He makes some awful looking things work. Can't take that away from him.

I still think Abraham is going to smash him though. We'll see.

It WAS a very good fight you simp! And round 12 was awesome! All Im saying is Kessler is very CLEARLY no longer at his peak, which allowed the fight to be close.

I saw Froch in a way other perspective last night. He really looks like **** and awkward as hell but he is so damn effective at times. Great fight!

like i said at the begginning of the tournament, it'll be ward or dirrell that win the whole tournament, probably ward, they just have a syle that cause the most fighters problems. ward might actually go undefeated in this tournament.

No I think Ward would always be too fast for him. A prime Kess might catch up to Dirrell eventually.

But in his prime he woulda wiped Froch apart.

Watch the Andrade fight, then watch tonight. No body in thier right mind can tell me its the same Mikkel.
