Floyd is the better fighter, but 'greater' can mean anything. Ali always wins 'greatness' debates because he was exciting in the 60s.

This quote just tells me that Floyd is 1. Delusional and 2. Has a very skewed view on what greatness is.

First what he doesnt mention and so conveniently leaves out about Ali losing to a guy with 7 fights is 1. Ali was 36 and a shot fighter at the time already showing signs of parkinsons. Yet he still came back and beat Spinks in a rematch. Ali lost 3 out of his last 4 fights. had he retired after beating the tough as nails Ernie Shavers he wouldve ended his career with 54wins 2losses and 37 kos with wins over Frazier,liston,Foreman,Shavers,Norton,Patterson and Archie moore! That resume sh/ts all over floyds. Please enough of this garbage! Floyd is not tbe and to try calling out Ali is classless and cowardly. But thats floyd. :hi:

2. Again floyd brings up losing. Someone isnt great because he doesnt lose. What makes someone great is having the courage to challenge himself and overcome those challenges. Floyds great when compared to his generation but compared to all time fighters he doesnt measure up. I think floyd is top 25 maybe top 20. When he loses to Manny next weekend hes going to slide down a bit. Depending on how bad he loses will determine how far he falls.:bbb

 

Mayweather's been saying he's greater than every fighter in history for ten years or more.

 

And i have ZERO problem with it. What i do have a problem with is him trying to call fighters out and knock their accomplishments. its cowardly and classless.

Ali has got LEGIT ATG's on his list, Floyd hasn't.

 

Ali fought everyone is his division... Ducked no one. Floyd is the greatest, the greatest cherry picker and ducker of his era!

 

So number 1 fighter in the world is supposed to say, I'm garbage. You don't get to the top thinking your second to anyone. I wouldn't expect any of you failure breeding trolls to grasp that concept as you sit in your mothers basement talking sh@t about people that can do something you can't.

 

So you can't think of anything between "I'm greater than Ali" and "I'm garbage"?
