Yeah pretty much, when is it going to dawn on you his power is overrated and that's against JMW's and WW's. His power will not carry up at all against NOT drained actual Middleweights, there's a reason why everyone feared Abraham's power at Middleweight and then when he moved to Super Middle.....not so much. Same thing could happen with GGG if he moves to 168, and that's exactly what a lot of you are hoping for isn't it?

Before any of you praise Canelo's "awe inspiring" power. Watch this first.:deal

Puts things into perspective doesn't it?

A light hitting Middleweight walked right through the feared Kirkland's shots like they were nothing and stopped him 2 rounds quicker than Canelo, and no it wasn't a bad stoppage and yes Kirkland was hurt.

Same way they acted when Garcia beat Matthysse.

Nothing in boxing is a foregone conclusion, especially when you've got two elites in the mix.

Also lol at claiming Canelos power is overrated.

Only a mental patient like you would come up with this rubbish. You must be getting quite nervous at the thought of Golovkin facing someone like Canelo. It would be quite a step up for Little G. :yep

Does Canelo beat Golovkin at 155 and 160?

    Is Canelo a "bum"?

Haha canelo had trout swinging at air and dropped him only his unusual pace gave canelo fits not his size, skill or left-handed stance.

Lara was running and bloody most of the fight & the most you can give him was a close decision win. The supposed skilled cuban boxer couldn't even thoroughly beat the flat footed small fighter beating mexican.

It is a real shame Canelo and GBP don't share your confidence, instead they go and blitz a glass jawed welterweight.

Canelo does not punch that hard, certainly not as hard as say... Lemieux at middleweight and Golovkin took anything he landed comfortably.

Canelo gets his backside handed to him, he knows it, GBP know it, deep down you know it.

Golovkin is going to humiliate Canelo either way, if Canelo hands over the belt Golovkin has just mugged him publicly so Canelo has a choice, either fight for what he regards is his and get knocked out like a man or hands over the jewels and basically says "don't hurt me".

It's going to be beautiful sight either way :yep

For those who haven't seen it, have a look, and tell me who is right? Call me crazy but I saw Trout landing plenty. And I've seen the fight at least 4 times.

I'm not the one coming up with every excuse in the book as to why Canelo should duck "little G" personally I can't wait for the fight. Because I'm that confident, I want him to face Lara as well, because I really love watching Lara get knocked down. Unfortunately it'll probably only be once if they fight.

Some good points but mainly biased stuff.

"Struggled" with guys that he was not even supposed to be in the ring with yet did enough to beat them. When you fight top notch competitive opposition, you are supposed to struggle, other wise it was a mismatch to begin with. and Canelo gets a lot of unfair criticism in that regards.

You also have to keep in mind that he's not even prime yet, much less during those fights.

In regards to basing Canelo's power, or lack of, on a fluke fight like Kirkland/Ishida is just being short sighted.

Bottom line, Canelo has some decent pop and very underrated boxing skills and will prove them against GGG. The fight will be competitive early on but GGG's slightly better skills and superior fire-power will win the fight, which should be a great one.
