If GGG beats Canelo he should challenge Ward. The 1 and 2 best p4p fighters in the sport against each other . Who wouldn't want to watch that? Its a great match-up.

But you know that the GGG fans won't encourage it and will make excuses why it shouldn't happen. They'll give the big talk about how he'd beat Ward but you never actually see them pushing for the fight to get made.

There's nothing stopping GGG from fighting Ward after Canelo.. Call upon your man to make it happen.

Gennady Golovkin didn't turn pro real young when his body wasn't matured, nor did he suck himself down way below his natural weight until he couldn't take it anymore. If he had, he would've probably started pro at 147, and eventually worked himself up to 160. He is where he is supposed to be. He is 35 years old, 5'10 and his fightnight weight is 166-171 at the heaviest. Ward 6'0, fought at 165 in the ams, turned pro at the age of 20 at 164lbs. He moved up to 175 at the age of 30. Good for him, he has clearly done great. I do fail to see how his accomplishment of moving up 6lbs with his frame from the time he was an kid until now somehow belittles Gennady's path, career or accomplishments in any way.

I'm not criticizing him. I think it's smart to take tuneup fights when moving up in weight. But don't act like he moved up to LHW and fought Kovalev before he got adjusted to the weight class.
