Audley Harrison is not an ATG.

Morales is ATG. Nobody at 122-130 automatically defeats prime Morales. Nobody.

Well Morales' body was affected by the weight drain. He looked gaunt and lost his legs.

Pacquiao while he was a drainer did so comfortably. If you can drain the weight without the side effects then so be it.

If you cannot it's best to move up.

So you're sticking with the statement that Pac was a natural 126 lber?

Now? No I don't think he is. He's a complicated case as a boxer because he's maybe the only fighter I know of sub heavyweight who actually tries to gain weight.

But for the last few years or so I don't think he's a natural 126 lber. His best weight was 126. And I think he would of had no problems with a more extended stay at 126. But Morales had moved to 130. Pacquiao had already had fights with Barrera and Marquez at 126. Nothing was left at 126 so he made the move and never looked back. Like a true warrior he left his best weight class to challenge a bigger and dangerous foe.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree that he could have made 126 for much longer than he did :conf He was draining 10% of his body weight there.

We'll never know for sure. But Pacquiao never gave the slightest indications that he was having trouble making 126.

There's only 2 reasons why he left the 126 pound division.

    1. He was having trouble making the 126 limit.

    2. To challenge Morales at 130 because Morales grew out of 126.

From the accounts of Manny and his spirit it was probably option 2.

    :conf

10% of your bodyweight drain is a good sign you should move up anyway.

I agree it's not healthy. But cutting weight is part of combat sports.

Cutting as much weight as possible while remaining strong is advantageous.

We've reached an impasse which I have no problem with because you're using facts and reasoning.

My thing is that, until either Roach or Manny comes out and says they left featherweight because Manny was having trouble making 126 I'm going to say he left to challenge Morales.

You're taking a hardline stance where you say Manny was cutting a lot of weight; it doesn't matter how his body reacted. Too much weight cutting meant he needed to move up. I disagree. But like I said I see where you are coming from.

Morales being a very good fighter and not an ATG has to be one of the Stupidest things I have read an Internet boxing forum, seriously.

Folks pretend floyd is a wrecking machine when in reality he is just elusive. If he knows he can't hurt you, then he will stay away from a fighter putting 5-10 feet between them. Folks don't want to accept that he does run a bit

Folks also don't wont to accept that he is 48-0 and that the Pac fight wasn't even competitive due to Pac getting gunshy from those counter right hands in the first round.

I am not a Pac-hugger bUT floyd was reluctant as h3ll to engage and was just elusive. There is no way that fight was a shutout. Btw, Floyd has 1 unofficial loss to JLC and literally ran from Maidana. What action did floyd press?

yeah, I may not agree that Morales is greater than Floyd (he isn't), but to say Morales isn't an ATG is kind of foolish. Great, great fighter was Morales.
