Jezz people speed is not a prerequisite to be a boxer .. There other are aspects of the game that allow boxer to over come other fighters with speed. Castillio is even slower then Ortiz and he seem to be able to give floyd, quite a handful ..

The main thing a boxer needs is his brains, and a will to win.

Victor has plenty of speed. However, the lack of a jab, body work, defense, and his susceptability to right hands are troubling in this matchup. However, Ortiz is the younger, bigger, more active fighter, with a big punch. Remember when Mayweather beat Hoya and many claimed that Hoya was an old, inactive, part time promoter? Well, Mayweather is older than Hoya was in that fight, and will be even more inactive. We'll see how much of a role that plays in this fight.

Ortiz is gonna get whooped and likely stopped late.

  8. This fight is a joke frankly. Victor is much better opponant for someone like Margerito. Theyre not anywhere near the same league.

Lack of a jab is an issue.

Ortiz seems to paw, paw with it, then look for a spot to bang his left in, he's kind of like Manny in that sense imo. Manny doesn't really have a jab to set up his offense, he tends to feints his way in, or uses that rocking back and fourth motion so you never know WHEN he's gonna explode into life with his straight left.

Ortiz tends to use the jab to measure the range, than use it as a weapon, that said, even without the jab, cutting the ring off, and applying pressure, Ortiz might still present problems imo, but that's if he can cut the ring off sufficiently.

floyd speed is too much for ortiz. He is getting clocked with punches he won't see.His chin is suspect and this will be a beating Imo. Pray for Oriz!
