To be honest if boxing put as many good fights as MMA does it would be doing great. Fights like Mayweather vs De La Hoya comes about once in 10 years. That **** aint gona cut it for boxing.

If you ever notice most boxers do like MMA guys like DLH,Roy Jones,Toney,Hopkins all enjoy it. Now idiotic promoters and guys like Floyd who really dont even care about boxing they only care about the profits they make trash MMA because they cant make a buck off it. That article makes a great point if you wanna see a big time fight well be prepared to wait 2 to possibly 10 years for it. Just use Mayweather for example people have wanted him to fight Cotto or Mosley for over 2 years, everyones wanted Abraham vs Pavlik for 2 years and that will never happen, RJJ vs Hopkins has been discussed for about 8 years now and I could go on. Theres only a few big time MMA fights that dont get made and noboddy is really that upset over it like Fedor vs Couture well that would have been huge but Randy stood little chance and Fedor vs Brock well even there Brocks only got 4 wins it could be much better in a year or 2 when Fedors Strikeforce contract is up.

Calzaghe would have fought RJJ & BHOP early 2000's.
Lewis would have fought Bowe, Tyson before Holy got to him.
Sweet Pea & ODLH would have rematched.
PBF wouldn't get away with JMM as an opponent etc etc.

The list goes on and on.

A lot of fans are getting pissed off with the ducking side of boxing and the 'what if' scenarios, no wonder MMA grows at the rate it does.
MMA has it too, Lesnar-Fedor for example but nowhere near the degree boxing has.
