I'd like to see him face someone like Berto late next year. Berto looked like crap against Collazo. Of course styles make fights, but Alvarez should by all means either give Berto a tough fight or beat him. I have a hard time categorizing Berto as A level, and if he is, that doesn't speak well for the division.

Canelo was a little too flat footed, loaded and winded up his punches. Was breathing out his mouth by round 6 and used little of that Canelo 'finesse.' It was all flash tonight. Some good body shots, well put combinations, and the power of Canelo could have had this dude outta here.

Not sure what Canelo was up to tonight. . .

Was really expecting more in all honesty and I think a lot of others were as well with all the talk.

    word

EDIT: I still love watching Canelo. He did what he had to do in front of all those people and he gave it 100% and I enjoyed watching him fight again. He really sold his personality tonight, he was hilarious, loved his attitude. Just hope next time he trains 150% vs someone fresh, him vs Chavez jr would be great, then vs Berto

still cant believe he's so young.

Im happy he went the full 12 against Ndou, its good to get some experience in before he fights better guys at 154. I really want to see him fight Chavez Jr next, a KO win would be huge

They are bringing him fine. I don't want another Vargas story. Next year he should fight the same type of opponents and go for the title at 2012 (keep it till the end of the world) Like this he can develop normally as a fighter

I think like Danny Garcia, this is thankfully a good prospect that they're moving along both intelligently and respectfully. They're not feeding him to the wolves, yet they're not giving him cans hoping for the big payday without learning anything. They're putting him in with guys he should beat still, but also guys that can give him difficulties and whose experience he can benefit from heavily. Baldo and Lovemore? How much more can you fit the bill for a young talent like this? Beatable but hugely experienced and tough old pros.

Just like last year vs. Tyner, Canelo likely chose to go the distance vs. a rock solid chinned fighter, no problem with that. N'Dou is a tricky veteran so it's a good experience for the youngster.

Nobody knocks out N’Dou, Career 140lber and still an iron chin.

  9. I never bought into the Canelo Hype Train... the only thing intriguing about him is the fact that he looks like he's from Greenwich, CT when in fact, he's a Messican who don't speak Englee.
