It's in the contract. Kathy Duva explained this on fight hype or something a while back. If they don't then boxing continues the spiral down hill in super fights.
That knee. Ward has been using those Cryogen machines at the Wellness Center. Why does a healthy 32 year old need these remedies that 90 year old people use.
yeah,,,knee is going to always be a good out. wish I had access to one of those machines myself...for the whole body.
poor Ward, he had everything when he was with Goosen, instead opted to go to court with the man who took him to the top, now it came back to bite him in the ass
Ward is a very hard worker. But sometimes he works so hard that I feel he leaves some of himself in the gym. Maybe at 175 he will feel a lot better. Its not fun cutting weight.
My whole point all along has been: If it is so damn difficult for Ward to work out these tuneup fights with total nobodies until the last minute, how am I supposed to believe the Kov fight is a "done deal" already when they don't even have an official date or venue? It's not about anyone ducking anyone...this is common sense and basic business 101. A bigger money fight is easier to negotiate than tuneup fights??? Since when? NEVER, that's when.
RocNation are short of money which is why Ward is having trouble landing a July opponent. The best guy in contention is Erik Skoglund, they tried to get Shabranssky but didn't have the money. Regarding Ward-Kovalev, I'm picking that the fight happens in 2017. Too high chance of injury/promotional problems/lack of a third tune-up opponent for Ward for it to happen in 2016.
Just hope Ward fights someone with a Pulse in the mean time ....His last few fights were a disgrace.!!!!
