No Larry, if the Klitschkos were American they would be as hated as Yuri Foreman

What a stupid comment, people don't like guys just cause they are American. There are plenty of good boxers out there that are hated because they are boring safety first fighters in the ring.

If the Klischkos were John and Barry Smith of Kentucky they would be the equivalent of BJ Flores, hated by all and the laughstock of most.

The HBO worshipping of the Klitschkos is pathetic. Sure I can respect the cause they get the job done but damn if they aren't exactly why the heavyweight division is dead.

I love the Klitschkos as people and think they are wonderful human beings, but how can you root for these robots?

Love the title getting changed from BJ Flores to Yuri Foreman.

..except you forgot that Vit has stopped 37 of the 38 guys he has beat.

Besides the Klitschkos..who in the heavyweight division comes to fight in top shape and put on DOMINANT performances fight after fight...no one. The division isnt great, but they are both dominating as they should be WTF else are they supposed to do.

there is none that can beat either Klitschko right now! I hoped this fight would be competitive and I am Vitali fan! But he is just too good!

I think it will be awhile there comes other boxer style that could beat klitschko this style!

I tend to like Vitali's performances, but hate Wlad's. As for Merchant, he has never had a good performance.

I loved Vitali doing his best Mayweather impression in the ring.

They would be hated, disrespected, rooted AGAINST when fighting foreigners IN HIS COUNTRY and downgraded in every way possible. Ali was hated in his early years, Leonard, RJJ, Tyson, Mayweather and MANY others.

Even their upcoming fighters are **** on regularly and when they lose it's all negativity till the very end. Might want to take notes from the loyal 110% supportive British fans, Germans, Philippines, Australia, Mexico or any other country.

Calzaghe isn't even British and has like 3 major wins in total, look how he's supported, try to argue otherwise with British fans and they'll whop your ass in any discussion. Hamed isn't even British either yet look at the support he got ALL the way to fighting in America or wherever despite Hamed being one of the cockiest and biggest trash talkers in boxing history. Hamed has like 2 or 3 major wins at most yet look how he's supported, try to argue with that too and watch your ass get whopped by a barrage of British loyalists. Bruno, Hatton and many others.

The American national anthem was BOO'd IN AMERICA when Mayweather fought Hatton yet you can easily spot American fans boo'ing Mayweather despite that. :nut

Bodysnatcher, I agree about Lewis. Lewis was never loved in the US, although he kept knocking out one contender after another and exposing Holyfield TWICE. Lewis got tons of booos from the crowd as he walked into Staples center for the Vitali fight in 2003. That was right after knocking out Mike Tyson.

How can you compare the Klitschkos to Yuri Boreman (maybe the most boring fighter on the planet).

You are absolutely wrong. If they where from the States they would be loved. Their styles wouldn't matter. Everyone loves HW champions from their own country. They'd have parades and calls from well in this case The VP.

If they were American they would make up 2/3 of my holy triumvirate of hated American HWs, Briggs being the other.
