It's he's own fault that his career is a joke he should've fought Ward and Canelo when he had the chance but he decided to be a diva, now he should try his best and do everything he can to get a fight with guy's that have been calling him out like Lara and Ramirez before it's too late again!
Lee, Quillin, Johnson and Heiland would be a perfectly acceptable run after Brook if Jacobs and Saunders don't step up to bat. Zero need to go to 168lb just because he's dominating 160. As soon as he moved up he would just start dominating there (super middle is WEAK) and people would start whining that he wasn't moving up to LHW.
Sort of like Canelo vs. Khan actually. The smaller faster guy moving up boxes well in the first couple of rounds and probably wins them, surprising everyone, causing lots of knee-jerk overreactions and gloating that Golovkin has been "exposed"...shortly before the larger, slower-starting and stronger man begins to impose himself and find his target more and ultimately breaks down and stops Brook somewhere in the middle distance.
The problem is there are no truly great fighters for him to face at middle weight, the only true MEGA FIGHT is canelo. There are some "good" fights to be made eubank jr, billy joe, jacobs etc are all big fights but not mega fights its the tru 50/50 mega fights that give fighters that awe inspiring legendary status. I see why GGG wants to unifiy the division but imo for him to truly become great, The canelo fight needs to happen or he needs to move up, Its not necessarily his own fault but that's what needs to happen imo. Even the canelo fight isn't a tru 50/50 fight i would think GGG would be favored considerably. Now GGG vs ward or the krusher are both stupendous mega fights. Super middle is decent but not great, groves degale and badu jack, good fights real good fights infact but again not mega fights
Thanks IB! Yeah i pretty much see it like that, i think brook will get stopped or pulled out before the 5th
True. Not much to be excited about at MW at least. The Brook fight is a complete joke. No better than Canelo vs Khan. It's possibly worse in fact. If he ever decides to move up in weight, things will get more interesting. If the top guys don't want to fight him at MW, might as well say he has cleaned that one out. Time to go up and clean out another, if he can. Waiting on Canelo is going to favor Canelo...not the other way around. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
I respect weight divisions, this is very important part of the boxing game. I think GGG is natural MW, but I think he has to move up and continue his career at 168. If he is clever and proud he will never fight Canelo. Never. I consider SMW weaker than MW just now, but it would be challenge for GGG to fight against bigger boxers and a great pleasure for all genuine boxing fans who follow and love sweet science. GGG go up !
