No Love For Miranda?

I have always liked Miranda for his no bull-**** attitude. However, I still fail to understand why he has gotten to the top so fast, and even if he loses he can still get top fights. The probable answer could be of his trash-talking, didn't work this time though.

He is pretty limited, but has above decent power.

 

No doubt. The general concessus around here is that Miranda is garbage that loses ALL THE TIME!! A poster who I respect VERY much made a long post the other day talking like Miranda loses every other fight. That's bull.

Kessler himself during that short stint of talking of a fight with Miranda said he believes Miranda was robbed against AA. That's all I need to know, know what I mean? Miranda has really only lost one fight, to the MW Champion of the World, not a paper titleist. And he pretty much destroyed everybody he's been in the ring with bar AA (well his jaw was destroyed) and Pavlik.

One of his wins I hold in high regard that you never hear about was his one round blow out of Willie Gibbs. IMO, Miranda ruined him or something cause I haven't heard much of him since, but before that he was like 20-0 with 19-20 KO's. I had seen a good bit of him and was hyped up myself for Gibbs/Miranda, then Miranda made him look like a school boy in there.

 

I agree H2Hkiller! Miranda is my favorite at MW! I say the same thing that you posted about miranda..... It seems like a lot of people on this site don't like him.. I think he is great.

 

On that note too, I've got to say how terrified I was for Pavlik to be facing Miranda. I'm long time fan and after beating Zertuche, it was fair for Pavlik to have his shot at Taylor. But then he had to take a 2nd eliminator bout against none other than Miranda. KP did great to get past the awesome fighter that is Pantera.

 

I thought he lost to AA, and don't talk like it was Mirandas power that broke the jaw - a featherfisted fighter would have done the same - with the jaw wide open.

KO punchers are quite often subject to be weak-chinned, and 20(19-20)-0 doesn't always mean much, if they are all tomato cans put in front of him.

His best win is still the one against Allen Green; a former SMW prospect.

 

Pantera will only be beaten by elite fighters.

He may even beat one himself.

 

Nobody ever notices this but Miranda talks a lot trash but he never uses offensive language. He is a class act.

 

Well yeah, I didn't say Willie Gibbs was his best win, I said it was one that I personally having watched a lot of Gibbs hold in high regard.

I likely agree that Allan Green was his best win.

I'm a big fan of Miranda also. As you mentioned, not only for his style but because what he had to go through as a child.

 

Agree 100%. What i like most about miranda is not that he wants to fiht the champs but that he is willing to fight high risk opponents to get to the champs. Like Pavlik, kessler, Green etc. He really believes hes among the best but no one is giving him a chance to prove after his loss to pavlik.

WTF are you talking about? Gibbs was 20-1 when he fought Miranda. He only fought bums before that and he was already stopped by another bum. There is nothing special about beating that can.
