I like Miranda, he is like a MW/SMW version of Mayorga, except with class.

I'm a Miranda fan. His talking doens't bother me, because all fighters do that. If I stopped liking fighters that talk trash, there wouldn't be anyone to pull for.

Edison is always in exciting fights, he has a lot of power, and usually gives the fans their money's worth. He's been an active fighter and bounced back from his loss to Pavlik with a couple of KO wins. What's not to like?

He also has a ton of heart. When he fought pavlik he took an aweful beating and didnt quit. Not to many fighters out there would have took that much abuse.

I was not worried about Pavlik/Miranda. I was certain the Pav would beat that boy like the school yard bully beat the kid that stole his bicycle:hey

My favorite Miranda fight was David Banks. Even though Banks is from my area, I can't stand him, and loved watching Edison toy with him,
and then knock him through the ropes:happy

Miranda will probably never be more than a fringe contender, but he will be able to put asses in seats and sell PPV's for a few years. And by the way, I enjoy his trash talk!:bbb

Really, I was always behind Pav's and predicted KO 8 the whole time, but being honest I just wished he could have gone straight at JT. Hindsight now though, it's defo best all things went as they did, because Miranda then JT I and II have shot KP to the top.

I did not think very highly of pavlik untill i saw the miranda fight. I saw him fight a couple of times but they were against junior middleweights like Mcart and Zertuchi. I was very impressed by what he did to miranda and i will never doubt him again thats for sure.

Well -- Let's not steal the thread, but I thought Pav could whoop Taylor after the McKart fight. In retrospect I'm glad he had the 3 fights that came between McKart and Taylor.

:good Yup, precisely what I was getting at. It was a blessing in disguise that Pav had to fight the 2nd eliminator and that he won impressively against Miranda, as that is pretty much the fight that the WORLD took notice of Kelly Pavlik.

You're right, last time I'll post off topic. I was watching the McKart fight just the other day and couldn't help but be astounded at the physical maturity Pav has gained since just then. Pav looked like a kid for real in that fight, although he fought relentlessly and with the power of a man no doubt.

**People have no reason in the World to hate Miranda other than FEAR that he will be gunning for thier man soon.

Ditto, Dude. I really thought that was the end of the road for KP. But after the ass whooping he put on him, which started about 7 seconds after the opening bell by showing Miranda who was gonna be backed up that night, thats when I really knew Kelly was the real deal.

He has a great story but talks way to much crap he does not back up Pavlik beat him to a pulp and he could not beat Abraham after breaking his jaw early in the fight. I don't see what the big deal is with him he is a good fighter but nowhere as good as some people act like he is. I mean Pavlik absolutely raped him and took his manhood away after Miranda talked all that trash he looked like a fool.

Yes, sir. I never showed it on the boards and always posted confident that Pav was gonna win, but the truth is I was shitting bricks nervous because Miranda is no damn joke. That fight made the world aware that the Ghost is for real, and JT beware.:yep

In my opinion miranda won that fight against AA. I mean be honest. would that fight have continued after AA's jaw broke anywhere else but Germany? AA even said he did not want to continue when asked. You can make the argument that Miranda should have finished him, yes but he still messed up AA face pretty dam good in that fight. So the man has some serious power.

First I really like Miranda. He's refreshing.

Allan Green fought like a sacred rabbit for 9 out of 10 rounds. Allan Green may have once been considered one the top fighters ( right now he's writing a chapter in "How to Torpedo your Boxing Career" ), but for that fight he fought like a wimp. And beating a wimp doesn't qualify as Miranda's best. I'd have to go with Eastman.

Miranda's biggest problem is that he didn't just get beat by Pavlik, he got dominated, schooled, exposed, or whatever other verb you may use when one fighter completely beats the living snot out of another. It wasn't like his loss to Abraham which was highly disputed and a close fight and didn't really hurt Miranda's rep. The Pavlik loss was a blowout that left Miranda looking like he had been beaten with a bat. It reinforced the perhaps incorrect idea that Miranda was all brawn and little skill. Miranda was forced to go back and rebuild which he has through easy wins over third rate opponents like like Porras and Banks. Now he's finally emerged from rebuilding and his ready to face quality opponents. And should he beat one of those the love should return.
