i dont begrudge any fighter for quitting, only they know what their body is telling them at the time they lay it down, but i have to applaud the ones that never consider it no matter what.

Same here, don't get me wrong. But how do you view Hakkar in this vid? IMO it's part hilarious part sad.

I think Morales straight quit against Pac in 3rd fight, but I don't knock him for it...he said he could have gotten up but it would have been to no avail.

I knock Hakkar because its just a hilarious effort!

    yeah, that was pretty funny.
courage is a curious thing, and not defined by one singular incident. that singular incident has to be viewed in the context of a prolonged history. one could argue that erik quitting took more courage than just pretending you were stopped, given was is expected by the majority of eriks biggest fans. morales chose to consciously admit he was bested by the better man that night, that in itself is a courageous act. a complete contrast to how a quit job by someone like camacho jr took place, for example.

I remember watching this fight when it took place. And even though it shouldn’t, it reflected somewhat on Bernard. This was around the time he was either about to, or already had, broken Monzon’s record and the talk was how ridiculous it was that a “defense” against a guy like this would somehow count. Bernard wasn’t a popular champ when he was fighting but he looks much better in retrospect. The same will hold true with Golovkin.

Magarito is a perfect example of why fighters should quit at times...

yeah, but the fact that he didnt made me put him in a very special list, of some very special fighters, fighters i would use as breeding stock, if you could breed fighters.
