you are right. duran trusted his manager...and his manager took advantage of him and hung him out to dry.

leonard made it no secret that his objective was to win the fight during the negotiations. what kind of bull**** is that!? that's some cowardly **** imo. if you're the better fighter...prove it in the ring. that's why i always laugh when i think of his fight with camacho. hector pulled a sugar ray leonard on ray leonard.

I doubt think winning or losing played a huge role in it, because the fight was close when it was stopped, so wasn't like Leonard was pitching a shut out or anything along those lines.

Duran just didn't like the tactics SRL was using and thought a boxer should fight rather than run around the ring. I'm sure it's the single greatest regret of Duran's boxing career by far.

he was getting his ass kicked. and embarrassed to boot. he quit because he knew he wasnt gonna win another round, and there was another 7 LOOOONG rounds left. his mind wasnt there? he didnt like the "tactics" leonard was using? what tactics? boxing? :rofl hit and not be hit?

yeah his "mind wasnt there" because Leonard drove him crazy in the ring clowning his a$$
