He lost to a guy that Ward (who's unbeaten) dismantled and beat the **** out of. It's that simple.

yeah, my fav division in boxing personally....
packed with plenty of champs and true contenders
i predicted that Froch would lose to AA to a knock-out because of style match-up. But i wanted him to win so there'd be a definite Ward vs Froch fight possibility

Looks like top fighters are figuring out AA... and exposing his one-dimensionability

For the Super-mids, Froch's wins puts him in the #2 spot
    #1 - Ward
    #2 - Froch
    #3 - Bute

Dirrell set the blueprint and Carl just followed it. I gotta give Carl credit though. I predicted him getting suckered into trading and he never did, he stayed disciplined, boxed and used range beautifully. If he fights Ward (which I see happening in the final, obviously), I see him getting outboxed. The way Dirrell showed how to beat Abraham, Taylor and Dirrell (and Kessler to a lesser degree) showed how to beat Froch. He can be easily outboxed if you have far greater speed than he does, as well as the ability to counterpunch. Ward has both of those which is why I see him schooling Froch.

His resume is clearly the best in the division. I think the reason he gets overlooked for the #1 spot is the style of his wins. He has a legit case to be called #1 though.

Bute has the most impressive performances, but he has the weakest resume of the 3.

Ward is young, tough, skilled and adaptable and has a win over the previous top guy.

Froch has the highest level of competition, but has more limitations and would lose to the other 2 IMO.

Its interesting to say the least. I hope we get to watch them hash it out in the ring in the next few years.

Resume wise Froch is the best in SMW. At the moment the top 3 of the SMW divisions are Ward Froch and Bute. I would put Froch at number 1. He deserves it.

He fought the best comp and he always made a good fight.

For the many of you who don't know.. Kessler will be back! He said so himself yesterday. He's currently training 5 times a week and just waiting for his eyes to get better.

You are harsh on Andrade. He beat Stieglitz 2 years ago (was winning even on points), is better than Sartison and probably Bika, who doesn't have the best stamina to resist to Librado.

Anyone that ranks Ward above Froch at this stage is a ****ing joker

Unless AA gives that dirty little ****er a nasty beating (which is more than likely seeing as the fight will have to be held on at least neutral ground) we're gonna get to see Froch DESTROY Ward in the final

Can't imagine AW beating many quality opponents out of Oakland in total honesty

Honestly its time for Ward to start fighting out of California, he needs to go to Europe and fight froch or to NY to fight Johnson but this at home BS is ****ing insane, look at the kessler fight the head buts the holding and hitting and it was pretty ****ing clear but being in wards back yard nothing happend.
Then we have last nights fight, how many times did the ref say stop and ward threw and hit Bika anyways? and to top it off ward hit him after the bell three different times, in cases like these being in another mans back yard might make for you to lose points or be DQ'd and likely had Ward not been pampered with this whole fighting in his backyard BS he might not be the #1 guy right now he may have a DQ from the kessler fight who knows.

LOL. Americans and the height of ignorance.

Leo Messi earns $43,000,000 a year. David Beckham and Christiano Ronaldo earn $40,000,000 a year.

Soccer players earn millions and they start their careers as teenagers and retire in their late thirties and soccer players earnings are increasingly RAPIDLY.

I love Froch and picked him at the start of the tourney to win it all but he's not better than Ward and will get outboxed by him when they meet in the finals.

Aside from schooling Kessler with the help of some headbutts Ward has done jack ****. He shutout Green, who had beat no one, lost to Miranda before and then was ktfo by old man Johnson. And then Ward beats Bika who has been beat plenty of times. Froch has the much better overall record. Ward has the one big win and nothing else. If anything Bute, Ward and Froch are tied for the top spot. No one has proved themselves significantly over the others.
