I have listened to the things the promoters have been saying. And it appears to me that there are absolutely no negotiations going on for a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. Especially with the Mayweather retirement talk. Arum is saying there are negotiations but then says GBP/Mayweather is not responding to him. As for this moment I think when ARum/Pacquiao talk about negotiations they are just talking to themselves and reporters. If someone thinks negotiations are going on, why do you think that?

the two sides agreed not to talk about the negotiations in public. Arum has not really honoured that agreement but in general both side have stuck to it. In this case no news is good news and we are still on course for November 13th.

Mayweather is sitting back waiting for Arum and Pacquiao to make enough concessions before coming to the table. This is their strategy; a chess match if you will.

There really isn't much to negotiate. They agreed on everything last time but the drug testing. They now have a little bit more complicated purse situation to figure out and I'm sure that's what Mayweather is waiting for. Seems like testing is agreed to, promotional aspects, ring/gloves, etc.

There is no Mayweather retirement talk...unless you count that amongst all the newbies popping up on here with just one or two posts claiming to know something that even Floyd Jr doesn't...

And with that I see you have just two posts to your name. Welcome to the jungle kid!

That sounds damning, no matter what you say. Roger denies it, but Roger is Roger and that's ****ing Floyd Mayweather saying that.

I don't think it will happen yet. Arum knows full well that Mayweather would likely win so will put Pacquiao in against Margo, selling Margo as some sort of man of steel and raising his returning fighter's profile again (as well as lining his own pockets).

Mayweather will likely take another interim fight, my guess is against another good opponent, and when Arum sees that the Pacman well is running dry he will lay down the roadblocks and let Mayweather vs Paquiao happen knowing that even with a loss he will be sailing away to a very lucrative retirement.

People actually believe Floyd's retirement/2 year layoff bull****?

    P.T. Barnum was right.
