    There is a ton of money in boxing its just that the wrong people are getting the bulk of it and its not the fighters !

    Thats nothing new!

    Today there is even more money in Boxing then in the golden Era of the sport.

    In the 30s, 40s or 50s you had to be a Champion or a very good Contender to make a living out of this job. Today "prospects" who never faced real competition (like Jessie Vargas) make 150 k Dollar per fight!

    It is nothing compared to what even rookies in the NBA or NFL make but you have to consider that you have to be an Elite Athlete, an natural beast to get into the major leagues and the Talent pool is huge!

    In Boxing it is hard to get to the top too but you see guys like Carl Froch who is nothing near athletic and relies on Chin, Heart and Testicles getting to the top and making Millions!
