Why haven't Pavlik's people dumped Arum already? He's given them a bum steer for too long, pretty much screwing up his career post-Taylor. Pavlik needs to hook up with Golden Boy or someone else who will actually get him the fights that will make his career, like Arthur Abraham. Hell, Andy Lee would be a more legit fight for Pavlik than the Latin Fake.

 

Good point... Kelly should be on top of the world by now. But his career is a shabbles since the Taylor wins. NOBODY wants to see him and Mora... not now... or later! Bring on AA... period! IMO Williams is too risky, before fighting AA for the REAL middleweight crown.

 

Too early to guess what will happen. No one knows for sure. I don't know what is in the contract with Mora so I don't know if they can just void the contract over this or not. My best guess is they keep exploring options until Kelly is cleared to fight/train and then make a decision depending on what the 'options' develop into.

Arum is still pissed at Goosen over the first proposed Pavlik/Williams fight. HBO will have to shove it down his throat to make it happen.

 

Pac/JMM have two fights separated by ONE POINT. Who is the star? Look at Arum and Pac in the ring after the Hatton fight. Doesn't care what you/we/me think of Arum. His fighters seem to love him.

Can you see Roger Goodell talking to Jerry Jones about the NFL playoffs talking bout "We will let you guys only play against the teams with the big markets and followings" No. They play against whoever is the best. Period. I can't belive some of these promoters are too shortsighted to see how much more interest they can generate and money they can make across the board if they just keep feeding the best matchups.

The Pavlik/Mora contract may have a clause that says in the event of a pre-fight injury the fight has to be rescheduled. If it has no such clause, I hope they dump Mora all together. In my opinion Mora should only get a shot if he wins a legit eliminator.

I'd love to see Pavlik/Williams. Pavlik/Taylor I was called "Undefeated." Pavlik/Hopkins was called "Unstoppable." They'd have to call this "Don't Blink!" Imagine the pace of that fight. I bet we'd see some rounds with a combined total of over 200 punches!

That's why I don't buy this excuse. He states in a letter that he doesn't want to talk with Goosen anymore (When PW was hunting down Margarito) but then wants to try to set up something with PW and Joshua Clottey. **** him.

 

You can't make every fight a mega fight, or your fighter will have a VERY short career. But ya, you're expressing a thought I have expressed MANY times.
