    I don't agree with this.

Those versions of Pac were still, at least IMHO, better than Guerrero, Cotto, or Ortiz. I actually thought Pac looked as good as he had in years against JMM in their 4th fight. In fact, I think it was the best Pac looked since before the Mosley fight. Of course, he was dropped hard early and then KTFO, but I thought he looked sharper than he had in sometime regardless.

That's not to say I especially like Pac's chances against Floyd, but I do still believe he provided something of a more intriguing style match-up than we've seen for Floyd in some time.

Its about styles and name. No matter how pacquiao has looked in the last few fights, I think he is the closest thing to Judah, southpaw with speed. people are tired of guys trying to overpower floyd. they want to see speed and they know Khan who has all the speed in the world, doesn't take a punch like pacquiao does. All this talk is irrelevant if pacquiao doesn't destroy Rios tho

This much is true, and I have no idea whether Pac's style and ability to take a punch will ever be the same again. I'm somewhat reminded of Mosley's first fight against Vernon. Now of course that didn't end in a brutally getting KTFO scenario, but even still - Shane's approach, to me, was never close to the same following that first Forrest fight when he was dropped hard in round 2 following the clash of heads. Shane was never as committed to throwing combinations and letting his hands go from that point on. He was a very different fighter.

I think Pac has the mental make-up that he can be an exception to the rule where he is capable of putting that KO loss behind him, but who knows. We'll get an idea soon enough.

When people talk about Pac's last fight they sometimes attribute it all to Manny's shortcomings, when surely we should be praising JMM moreso.

Manny still poses a threat to Floyd and I think Floyd still knows this.

(I like them both before either fanboys jump in)

I'm not a fan of pac or floyd but its laughable how many people on here who have rewritten history regarding the marquez pac fight, pac was blasting marquez's face apart until the knockout, amazing performance

Well it was nearly equal, Pac slightly ahead before the KO.

Both put on brilliant performances; JMM more so on the night.
