During the late nights I was having problems going to bed. As a result, a few weeks ago I stopped drinking high caffeinated drinks before my working outs. My workout route and stamina dropped at the same time I stopped using caffeine. The drop was significant enough to either cycle back onto the caffeinated drinks or find an alternative. Does anybody have any legal cocktails that might help me out? :deal

Just go to a supplement store and buy some melatonin, it will put you to sleep safely.

How long has it been since you've been off the caffeine?

You shouldn't need coffee or anything for your workouts. I wouldn't rely on them if I were you.

Green tea. It has caffeine but won't make you edgy like coffee or soda and it's full of antioxidants. Also, try yerba mate tea.

Look into yerba mate as it helps burn fat and has lower caffiene than coffee but moreso than green tea.

To replenish your adrenaline stores from over caffienating, use Reset A.D.

Coffee also contains antioxidants in high quantities.

That sounds like energy drinks/soda. Those are a NO-NO. You can get a coffee in the morning/dinner, but thats it.

Tea / Yerbamate are a good alternative, as well as just plain regular vitamins.

caffeine should not be consumed before a workout, it raises the heart rate and the body recovers during rounds with the aid of your heart rate retuning to the lowest possible, caffeine keeps your heart rate high and will hinder recovery during rounds

caffeine has been shown to boost performance in long distance events if i remember correctly, i have a black coffee before big workouts and it helps me hugely, and as scurlatings said coffee is very high in anti oxidants, i to find it hard to sleep if i train late but i think the workout boost is worth it.

Ive seen some bodybuilders do that at this gym I went to before a workout, I was confused but I researched and read about the benefits, never tried it before a workout myself.

NO overload is a great alternative and my favorite supplement.
