    He honestly doesn't.

I've seen Flores a few times on ESPN and his tactical knowledge is second to none, he's more specific. That is not a slight on Woodhall though, who is the best of the UK bunch at this role.

admittedly i've heard more of woodhall, but that also works against him as we've seen him at his worst, i need to watch flores more (maybe that was his zenith) but in terms of technical/tactical knowledge richie is the best i've seen by far.

hes also a proper nice fella, I know Richie, and Lennie quite well, Ive been to their old gym a few times as it was 100 yards from where I work, the new one is a mile or so away, and not been down yet, Lennie has won me a few quid over years by predicting a few results for me, the best was winning a couple of hundred when Julius Francis KO'd Pele Reid, both of em (Lennie, and Richie) are lovely blokes, know their boxing and are a credit to the sport, Ive got some pics somewhere of me and Richie in the gym with his WBC belt.

Richie is a nice guy, but his hero-worshipping of Calzaghe against Kessler and Jones was appalling.

    Otherwise, good commentating.

People have extremely short memories. When he was on the bbc, Woodhall would constantly come out with absolute bollocks. He should stick to comentating on amatuer boxing.

i guess you prefer the "HE'S GONE, HE'S GONE" or "HE TOOK IT, HE TOOK IT" type

To be fair to Woodhall he was pretty new to it all at the Beeb, I agree he's not perfect but he's by far the best in the UK IMHO.

Very unfair. He was commentating with Jim Neilly, who is a rugby commentator. At Setanta he was with Rawling, Bunce etc., proper boxing people working as a team with good people behind them.

Flores was interesting, but his statement that the Chagaev fight was “exciting” was, honestly, laughable. I don’t think the detail really added an awful lot because I can’t once recall him saying what Ruslan needed to do to get close.

Actually, the commentators seemed more intent on declaring the performance by Wlad a “masterpiece” which nearly saw me spit my cornflakes across the room.

I prefer Woodhall – he doesn’t play favourites and always explains the answer to a stylistic problem.

Don't give me that ****. He came out with some of his worst comments when stood side by side with Bunce when they'd take turns giving their offensively stupid post fight views. Pointing the finger at the hapless Neilly is what's unfair. He's at least got an excuse for being rubbish.

Bunce & Woodhall should be kept apart at all times. They seemed to feed off each others bull****.
