Are you ******ed? Rogan is ALWAYS talking good about Machida have you ever thought that maybe he was talking about Shogun like that because he WAS winning?

I watch with music playing anyway and a crowd of friends so nobody heres the commentators anyway so I don't know what he said. All I can say though is Rogan is/was in total man-love with Machida before last night, I don't understand why he would be biased against him.

He may have been hurt more from those kicks he took, but that was a clear win for Machida.

How can anyone give Shogun any of the 1st 3 rounds?

Machida won those rounds with clean strikes, landing more and doing more. Shogun only landed maybe 2 significant kicks in those rounds from what I can remember and did little else. You can't reward him with those rounds doing so little, when champion Machida did more.

Shogun did win the final 2 rounds imo, but it was a clear 3-2 win for Machida.

Anyway, what was up with Goldberg and Rogan being so far up Shogun's ass. Lucky they weren't sitting near the judges with their cheerleading, which may have influenced their decision, as it clearly has some fans who watched it.

Reminded me of the Yoshihiro Akiyama vs Alan Belcher fight at UFC 100.. where it was clear to anyone who knew what they' were watching that Akiyama easily beat Belcher.. but Rogan and Goldberg were surprised with the decision after cheerleading for Belcher all night and even suggested a robbery. These guys are getting ridiculous.

Disagree completely with last nights fight, for me Rua won rounds 1,2,4 and 5. You can't give points for hitting fresh air or on the gloves, Machida was shadow boxing all night. His ribs must be hurting today from all those body kicks and don't forget that his legs must be aching.

I didn't side with either fighter before this fight but Machida should hang his head in shame for accepting the belt. Japanese honour brazillian style my ass!!

Wow you have completely no idea what you just watched do you? Shogun out landed Machida 82 to 40 or something accourting to fightmetrics. I don't think he landed more then maybe 5 shots "flush" the whole fight on Shogun.

I like the UFC and MMA in general but I would never spend money on crappy cards like that.
White has gone from big name cards every few months to 2nd rate cards ever 6 weeks ala WWE.
Machida-Rua, Franklin-Belfort, and Couture-Nogueira......brand spanking new or old champs, aren't enough to build cards around for fights every 6 weeks.
White is watering this **** down. Put em all on one card and do these less often.

This is just wrong, go look at fight metics, they keep accurate count of strikes landed per round and break them down to jab or power, if you think Shogun only landed a couple you just aren't remebering what actually happened.

Joe Rogan has been on Machidas bandwagon for a long time, this is Joe "welcome to the Machida era!" after his first title fight Rogan, the reason his commentary made it sound like Shogun was winning is because Shogun was winning. The thousands of people in the arena didn't hear Rogan, the press at the event didn't hear Rogan, foreign viewers didn't hear Rogan, hell a lot of people watching on TV don't listen to Rogan because they don't like him, Dana didn't hear Rogan and he immediately told Shogun he thought he won; Rogan didn't have some sort of agenda, he is a Machida fan if anything, he simply saw what was going on, just like the rest of the world, and gave his analysis of it.

As it turns out, he was proven right, Shogun was getting the better of almost every exchange; the proof is in how hurt Machida was and Shogun wasn't.

Why do you think Machida couldn't do anything the last two rounds? Why did Machida stop even trying to counter? Because in the first three rounds whenever they would exchange Shogun would do damage, he would get the better of the exchanges, and then he would land again on the break.

Do you people honestly think it was Shoguns "legendary cardio" that had him throwing with more and more confidence as the fight went on? He realized Machida was getting hurt I'm their exchanges and he wasn't.

    "Welcome to the Machida Error!"

Dana had nothing to do with the decision. Shogun is a more exicting fighter im sure he would have prefered Shogun get a decision which could have set up Shogun-Anderson.

you're a ****ing idiot, dana white and the UFC don't choose the judges nor the referees. The California or Nevada State Athletic Commissions do.....

dana was pissed about the result and set an immediate rematch
