No need for Bradley to fight like that...

Provodnikov can go **** himself, not even acknowledging Tim Bradley after the fight. Not even looking at him once, at least be humble enough to accept the guy you where fighting showed great heart. Tim Bradley gave Provodnkov his due in his interview, it was a war. Provodnikov showed a real lack of class

 

Makes u question his sanity. He has a family, kids, wife, etc. Yet, he fights like a prospect with something to prove.

 

We need to pray for Tim Bradley tonight. This was dumb as all freaking hell IMO. Worst fight ever for him. He took WAY too much punishment. His trainer is ridiculous I don't care how much stamina your fighter has, hes getting RIPPED with shots and was on ***** street with shattered equilibrium like on 4 different occasions, you just do not let the fight continue like that. Complete insanity. This wasn't bravery, this was idiotic stupidity by his team to let him continue. This type of stuff turns me off from the sport.

 

Agreed. He could have easily just boxed Ruslan, especially after that 2nd round.

Or just held in the 12th when he was gassed.

 

you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. you got assholes who were saying hes boring and would have said it again if he boxed more. Instead, it turns out to be a tougher scrap and very entertaining and people **** on bradley because he wasn't dominant. You just cant win sometimes.

 

Funny thing was Diaz specifically told him to just box the 12th but we saw what happened. As a trainer, Diaz has to be pissed.

Agreed. I don't think he's going to want to repeat that experience. **** was practically near-death. I'm sure the wife will tell him a thing or two as well.

I give Provodnikov credit for everything he gave in the ring, but Tim's foolishness got him hurt the first few times. Although Bradley's strategy of backing him up in spots worked, against the ropes Provodnikov was useless, but Bradley insisted on staying there too long when he looked brilliant out-boxing him from a distance. Bradley showed his versatility in there tonight.

I wonder why he decided to trade with the bigger puncher so much

if he was proving a point after the way he has been treated, if emotion got in the way of strategy

maybe he never quite recovered in the head from the early pounding, or maybe his ankles were giving him issues that actually was the first thing that sprang to my mind when he was down in round 1 and took that weird stumble trying to get up

Bradley when hurt stupidly went straight back with his body straight up and his chin straight out i am stunned he was not knocked cold

also i thought a lot of Bradleys shots in 1-4 looked like arm punches like he didnt put his body in a lot of his shots

i thought Bradley was fine in close and far away but in no mans land he was ****ed, the times when he wasnt too close or too far he got nailed

I didnt like the way Tim armed out some of his shots

i do believe when Tim really sat on a shot he hurt Ruslan, not rocked or anything but some shots you could tell got his attention, but when he stuck out a lazy one he got clocked

 

he should be a shame of tonight performance...
he was suppose to dominate the fight!

 

Tim's gameplan commonly includes fighting on the inside and rough housing to assert his will which, combined with his conditioning, usually breaks an opponent's fighting spirit and leads to lopsided victories.

How he fought tonight really wasn't all that different than his usual MO. To imply he did a 180 for the sake of the fans and "let" Ruslan nail him with those shots is really selling Provodnikov short. Tim leaves himself open when he sits down on his shots, and instead of being too worried and smothered to pull the trigger like most of Bradley's other opponents, Ruslan exploited it.

Tim's outside game is typically just light punching and volume designed to frustrate the other guy, but his bread and butter's on the inside- that's where he does his damage. Tonight, he got the worst end of it and was likely fighting on instinct for the majority of the fight. With how Provodnikov came to fight and Tim's attitude, there was no way Bradley could've made it an easy night for himself.
