has this fight taught you nothing? Calzaghe made Hopkins look shot when it is clear from last night he isn't. Calzaghe has an awesome chin and freakish workrate - Pavlik misses all night.

Calzaghe did make look Hopkins passive.
But tonight I've seen Hopkins doing everything aside from demonstrating awesome chin or freakish workrate and that is why he won Pavlik.

All Pavlik can throw is straight punches, I can't see him getting near Joe unless he learns a shitload of combinations and learns how to move his feet quicker than a ******ed zombie, which he won't so therefore he would get dismissed again.

Pavlik KO'd Taylor and Taylor beat Hopkins x2, therefore Pavlik should beat Hopkins?

Just admit that Calzaghe got lucky that night.

Calzaghe didn't get lucky. I think he would win a rematch with Hopkins, as he has more of an idea what to expect. There is a story on the homepage: "Is Hopkins the most intelligent ring-master of his generation?". If you include Calzaghe in that generation then I say no, he is a close second.

To be fair I recall you saying Pavlik would KO Hopkins... you must've known their differing styles before the fight. Taylor would have a good fight with Calzaghe, but not enough to win IMO. I see pavlik - calzaghe going pretty much the same way as hopkins - pavlik. Calzaghe's footwork and lateral movement would confuse Pavlik, and although he may get caught clean he took a lot of flush shots from Kessler also.

I'd like to see Pavlik vs Kessler / Abraham but can't see it happening for a while now :-((

You are right, but that is very easy to say now and blindingly obvious AFTER Hops has whipped Pavlik.

Obviously Pavliks future lies in the MW division. B-Hop should get the winner of Calzaghe-RJJ for a rematch.
