Hearns, who started at welter would soundly defeat welterweight Floyd.

Welterweight Floyd is a sharp assassin, but he doesn't hit hard enough or importantly often enough - Potshotting might work against the Welters he beat but not enough to deter prime Welter Tommy.

It took Floyd a few rounds to figure out DLH's jab and Hearns learned jab along with what he brings behind it would be too much for Floyd to keep out of harms way with.

It takes nothing away from Floyd to say that Hearns would beat him at 147 considering Hearns won titles up to Cruiserweight. At 6'1" - He is considerabally taller and the combination of height, reach, speed and boxing ability - I think Tommy would KO Pac early and handily decision Floyd inside his defensive shell.

Hearns win over Duran is better than anything Floyd will ever accomplish.
    /end thread.

    No.

There is no Duran in this era.
Maybe he should beat Pac and Martinez to compensate for that one ALONE.

I'm a big fan of Floyd Mayweather, I've seen near enough all of his fights, and buy his PPV's. However, Hearns resume is greater than Floyd's, Hearns is greater H2H than Floyd and is greater P4P than Floyd.

If Floyd beat Cotto, Pacquiao, Martinez then Khan/Canelo and retired undefeated, then you could argue that his resume compares with Tommy's. Fact is, if Floyd fought the level of competition that Tommy did, he would have losses on his record for sure.

you are joking right? Pipino Cueves,Sugar Ray Leonard,Wilfred Benitez,Roberto Duran, Marvin Hagler,Virgil Hill. 6 HOF fighters with all of the champions when he fought them. This is not worth a response. When Mayweather beats one guys as great as one of those then make a thread. Mayweather is a joke and a coward and avoids big fights.

When Mayweather fights someone as fast and accurate as Hearns then you can tell us he is in this level. Fighting Ortiz or Corrales are not the same as fighting a Hearns or Leonard level.

you fight the best in one of the best eras you lose. Hearns was fortunate to come up when guys like Cuevas,Benitez,Leonard,Duran,Hagler and Hill were around. Win or lose you fight legends you will have losses on your record. Sorry to say Floyd never fights guys when they are great. Hearns has losses. Benitez has losses. Leonard has losses, Duran has losses. They all lost because they fought the best.

the fact that Ortiz is used as an example of floyds excellant resume says it all really.
