He's a great guy, hopefully he shows up focused and ready to rumble tomorrow, and stops Thomas this time around. By the way, the only reason I have Brook-Rabchenko so low, is because I think Kell's going to do a demolition job on him, I doubt it'll even be competitive.

Yeah im just a big Brook fan so i cant wait too see him back in there, im hoping for a Charlo callout, it should be on paper, completely one sided in Brooks favour though so i can understand why people arent that interested in it. Yafai vs McDonnell is the big one on that card for me

You should care because you are going to witness a Kovalev that has been reborn entirely.

And that's bad news for the rest of the division.

Maybe Barrera should have taken the fight when offered.

Bivol vs Barrera should be the main event not this mismatch.

Actually I know Mikhalkin fairly well, he's better than a lot of people in this thread realize.

I would be interested in the Kovalev/Mikhalkin fight if it was any other weekend. I'm just more interested in the Wilder/Ortiz card. I've been looking forward to this for months now, so the Kov/Mik is taking a back seat. I'm hoping to catch the re-run of it though.

I care, I want Kova to do well and hopefully unify after the farce with Ward.

Always excited to see Sugar Krush perform. With any luck, the good fights on HBO won't clash too directly with the good fights on SHO, but HD torrents on Sunday morning will see me right.

Yea because it literally shows us nothing about where he still is mentally and physically . The last fight against a no hoper was fine, to get the taste of those horrendous robberies against ward out his mouth .

We saw he could still crush , but we have no idea what he's gonna do when faced with adversity. And this won't show anything, there are a lot of good fights to be made and he took this fight. Makes no sense, like everybody else, i much more pumped for the Bivol-Barerra fight .Now that one is gonna answer some questions, and should be a good fight.

I care, But it seen as a foregone conclusion, this is not seen as a test for Kovalev and it isnt seen as a big fight in the division. I will be watching though. Wilder Ortiz is the one im the most excited about though.

Look at the caliber of fighters. Match relevance is a big deal. Wilder/Ortiz and Bivol/Barrera are the big fights this weekend. Kovalev is just taking the lowest possible risk fights for his HBO guarantee for the Ward fights. Which is fine. He's still a beast of some sorts, hope to see him against a top foe soon, and should produce a fun KO at least.

I’m sure HBO is setting it up like that, for Kov to fight the winner of Barrera/Bivol. After this overmatched guy gets stomped on, time for Kov to unify.
