How do you know he believes he is the new Floyd?

All male Christians view themselves as a son of God.

Makes me think that when Jesus spoke about Son of God, he didn't mean he was God, but a title that humans have. He is something OF God, not God himself.

He has already compared himself to mayweather which I will quote it in due course. Also he is also obsessed about the a and b side and acting the diva when it comes to negotiations. And just like floyd he took time away from the ring.. He even shamelessly mimics some of the movements floyd does in the ring,

Here is how he thinks he can emulate Floyds career as he approaches their latter years of his career.

''And your game gets more and more seasoned where as you get older you get more efficient where there's no unnecessary movement. And I think you saw that in Floyd's career where he had a lot of movement at 135, 130, and when he went to 140 he settled down a little bit and then at 147 he was like that. Father time waits on no one. I just think naturally my game is evolving and I feel like I'm still in my prime and things are slowing down for me in the ring."

serious straw clutching here.... he uses Floyd as an example .... A VALID example nonetheless, at no point in this quote does he say he wants to emulate Floyds career...perhaps im just blind can you point it out to me?!?!? would you have been happier if he used B-Hop or Ali as an example of their style of fighting changing as they got older?

Sure, it deserves to be at least as big as most other Kovalev fights, that's true.

There are different levels of junkies. He kept it away from his children as best as he could, while the mother did not care.

As for your ridiculous question, there are many boxers I admire, to which Kovalev is one of them. Povetkin, Lucas Browne, GGG, the klitschkos and many others I do not care to name

Got any proof that Ward's mom made his dad a junkie? Or are you just assuming?

He does not have to say that I want to be like floyd for it to be clear that this is indeed n his mind. His actions and demeanour show evidence this.

He is always talking about Floyd, commentating on his fights, taking advice from him and making comparisons when he isn't even in his division. Meanwhile he has become obsessed with preserving his undefeated record.

So he compares aging and getting settled in a weight class and uses Floyd as the example and you say he is mimicking Floyd? If Ward became a **** talker I could see your point.

So obsessed that he moved up in weight to fight easily the best at the weight and the most dangerous are you saying this emulates what Floyd has done ?? He deserves huge credit for taking on Kovalev in an era where there are so many avoided fights (this is where you may have a point in dissing floyd but cant use that same stick to beat Ward with when he has taken this fight, thats illogical). You dont think he should be credited for taking a fight that the sport deserves? You make the point that he wants to emulate Floyd in protecting his undefeated record, is there a more dangerous or tricky fight out there he could have taken? if so please enlighten us.

PS for the record I hope Kov wins (but think Ward will), I think a Kov win will benefit the sport a lot more with casuals as a Kov win is more than likely to mean a more exciting (spectacle) for the casual fan.

Floyd has been the most successful boxer financially, recently. Everyone took note of his methods.
