Brook/Khan might not have the lustre it once had since they've both have lost recent fights. But this fight has been built up for far too long for them not to fight. I would hate to see another Hatton/Witter scenario where they never meet. Yanks might not care about this fight and simply see it as a British domestic fight, but both are high profile boxers who have fought on the world stage and are former world champions. Winner gets bragging rights and can move on and look to challenge for a world title.
tits a good shout actually. a proper lancashire hotpot, even though brooks from a bit further south. The War of the Roses all over again.
There isn't as much interest as Hearn might tell you. There are more interesting fights for both but objectively I guess it has intrigue still. Too many hurdles though
Ive been waiting for this fight for years.. Unfortunately Khan keeps running like a biac**.. And now wants to fight Adrien ''Mr Classy'' Broner
I care about this fight. I think it will do well in the UK and carry some substantial American interest. It would be a nice little payday for both guys.
It’s a must have fight for UK fans. It’ll determine thier UK legacy which is important with UK fans. If UK fans respect you they’ll treat you like royalty well after you retire. We don’t want another Froch Calzaghe a fight that a lot wanted but never got. We need to see this fight.
It will only be relevant to proper Khan and Brook fans. All the boxing fans who aren't particularly fans of either boxer, are bored to death of the years of talk, and ducking from Khan. Most people couldn't care less now, both are past their best it's about as looked forward to as Crolla vs Burns was.
I'd love to see this fight. This will be pure entertainment from the moment it's announced till the fight is over.
Sure the desire has waned a bit but I disagree. The casuals will buy this one especially with the Matchroom/Sky hype. No casuals know who Burns or Corolla are. Carl vs Groves fights were huge and I’d argue Khan is a bigger name to the casual than Froch and that was the case even before Khan did the celebrity Jungke thing. I say it sells big...with loads of buzz...and is an intersting fight if Khan ever signs on the dotted line.
This is still a big fight in Britain. Personally I won't be as into it as I would have 2 years ago and a respective knockout loss or two each ago... But the casuals of the British scene will still buy into it hugely. So to say noone gives a **** is incorrect
It will only sell because of Khans desperate pakky fanbase of a race of people who cannot fight to save their lives.
I don't feel as interested in this fight as I was a few years ago. But I know as soon as they are in the ring together, I'd be excited to watch it.
