I mean, the undercard is clearly better than Top Rank's, but what the hell were GBP thinking going head-to-head with a night of Sexicans?
I've kind of warmed to the idea of the competing cards since both look like they will be successful and I get around 8 hours of world class boxing to watch tonight.
I'm not gonna watch it, no one wants to see the ugly ginger boy beat an overmatched b level 140 pounder.
He's fighting a recent 140lbs'er who weighed 144lbs at the scales for a 147lbs fight. Ofcourse, nobody gives a damned... De La Homo can **** himself. He should of put Canelo in with one of the real 154lbs'ers like Trout,Martirosyan,Bundrage,Kirkland,Lara or whomever.
Some will watch because they want to see the over matched b level 140 pounder beat the ugly ginger boy. Ain't gonna happen of course.....
GBP were a little unlucky that Lopez scuppered their plans for Ortiz, Kirkland got hurt, etc. Canelo - Lopez would look more at place as an undercard fight to Martinez - Chavez to be honest, its about the 3rd-4th or even 5th most appealing fight for me tonight to be honest, which is a reflection of the depth tonight's fights. Both undercards are good in my opinion but better for Golden Boy, Gonzales - DPL looks a potentially great fight, Maidiana, etc. But Rigondeaux and Macklin are good for the HBO undercard too. All in all a great nights boxing ahead.
I really hope it blows up in GBP's face. I don't see Josesito getting ko'ed by one punch to be honest. He's tough as nails, and shown a pretty decent chin. If anything he'll probably get stopped on his feet or they'll call it between rounds.
