    click the link buddy.

I've actually read this already and dithered about posting it here, but decided against it just because of all the terrible trouble it will cause. Touchy-touchy even more touchy than normal at this touchy time of year...enjoy your thread :D

He looks ok. He is also on film against weak opponents (except Tunney, who dominates him), which may be distorting how impressive he actually was.

You could also take into acount his resume, and the oppinions of people who actualy fought him.

    1. I do.

    2. Kind of the point of me posting this article. It explains my kind of argument in a much more mild mannered and eloquent way.

Saying he's tough, knocked out top contenders (something that is to be expected - also the conditions/form/part of their careers there contenders were at when he fought them are all kind of against him in the 'resume' (what a bent ****ing word) argument) and didn't fight his number one contender at any point in his reign is hardly knocking down my opinions. You're really reaching here.

    The authour says:

    A. That he was as tough as anybody has ever been.

    B. That his knockout record has never been bettered.

    B. That he emphaticaly did not duck Harry Wills.

Do you agree with these points?

He was obviously tough. There's no disputing that. There is, however, a massive ****ing difference between being 'tough' and being the best heavyweight ever.

His knockout record is all well and good. Well done to him. It's right up there with Shannon Briggs' record. Similar quality of opponent.

I don't care for drama/gossip pish. Duck? Who cares. He didn't fight him, that's all I know. Preferring to fight a middleweight's leftovers....
