No Pavlik-Duddy in June

Yes i watched it twice, crazy fight.

I mean, i scored it about 87-83 to Duddy.

Personally think his chin is great and he show great heart, if he fights lke he did in the last 5 rounds, tighten up his defence in his next fight he will look great im sure.

Pavlik is hittable, Taylor was just afraid of Pavliks power so never got near him. Im love to see Duddy try walk through Pavliks punches to get to him, hell, it COULD happen and then we could have a brawl.

(still think Kelly would win easy)

Duddy has attributes that give him a shot against most fighters, so give him his shot, if he lose then everyone is right..but i won't be happen (nor will the average fan) until we see that failed shot! Right? Do you want him to stay at the same level forever and keep winning?

CASH- Lorenzo??? Who the **** has he beat? Has he beat anyone that prior to fighting him had less than 6-7 loses already??

The thing is it's not like Duddy is decisively beating everyone on 'this level' you talk about. He should not have struggled last night. It was supposed to make him look good and propel him into a Pavlik fight. Instead he got beaten around the ring for the first half of the fight and then did some half decent boxing to defeat a tired c-level slugger.

Duddy has not stepped it up and the only reason he was considered for a Pavlik fight is because of $$ and the fact that there is about zero chance for Duddy to win. If he couldn't knock out the tired Canadian last night then what the **** do you think will happen when he tries to walk through a Pavlik right hand (nevermind if he'll be standing)? Pavlik has been in the ring with much stronger boxers (JT) and heavy hitters (Miranda)... there is really no way Duddy wins.

 

Did you see the Demers fight? Walid a one point nearly KO'd Demers and it was much closer on points in my book (and the judges) - so thats shite talk

 

Yes, but Duddy was also nearly taken out in the 1st - k, Duddy has a better chin than Demers but still he has a better defence than both Smichet and Duddy and I could see him winning a clear decision vs. Duddy.

I had Demers winning vs. Smichet 116-113 if I remember correctly and Duddy fighting to a draw with Smichet yesterday...

 

So this would mean Zuniga - Asikainen...

 

if you saw it a draw then you must be blind. Whaqt five rounds did you give Smichet. I gave him the first and maybe the fourth with the fifth even - the rest Duddy did enought to win

 

I'll have to rewatch the fight but the first three looked to be all Smichet's. Those were brutal rounds and he almost had Duddy out on his feet during the 3rd.

 

Before I watched it again this morning I would have agreed with you. Walid won the first despite being schooled in the first minute. Duddy won the second - better boxing. The third - Walid didnt land a punch until 40 seconds to go in the round and have a very good 30 seconds - its wasnt enough to win the round imo. Fourth, I gave to Walid but could easily be Duddys or a draw - after that it was down hill for Walid

Yeah I agree with you there. Lorenzo hasn't fought a B rated fighter yet. IMO

 

I said it already. Both Pavlik and Duddy would be fools not to fight each other now. This fight is guranteed ppv and which one of you wouldn't buy it?

Two extremely likeable guys, both undefeated, who like to trade blows. No way in hell Duddy beats Pavlik (although i'd be rooting for him) but why dosen't he deserve a title shot? Did Ouma or Spinks deserve a crack at the 160 title?

Duddy has reached his peak and now is the time for Pavlik to fight him. Both men would make good money off this, and that is what boxing is about and why they are in it.

 

I don't see the point in waiting around, they've gotta get him in with Pavlik once that cuts healed
