That was one of the more deserved beatings of recent times. I love that Margarito was annoyed that Cotto wouldn't just stand there and let the Mexican twat hit hm.
as i said, a win for cotto casts doubt on margarito's win first time around. when all is fair and square, cotto wins.
Simple really as Kellerman said his shots tonight didnt make the same thudding sound. Add to the fact he dwarfed Miguel at 153 even more than at Welter and still barely moved Cotto when he landed. Easy night's work for Cotto. Margarito can go back to sellign taco's
Margarito didnt land anywhere near the amount he did in the first fight after 9 rounds.Cotto just fought a great fight.
I had it pretty much a shut out for Cotto and has been mentioned Margarito's punches barely registered on Cotto, we can still only speculate but I'd say that's a pretty good indication as to what was going on in the first fight.
I'd say personally last night had no indicaction on whether he wore loaded hand wraps in the first fight. Bad eye, 2 severe beatings for Margarito, Cotto's fight with Pacquiao must or took abit out of him, both had new trainers, Margarito landed no where near as many meaningful punches as the first fight
I actually believe Margarito actually has improved on his boxing, He looked decent last night IMO. He pressed the fight and landed but Cotto limited him with good defence and better tactics. IMHO he did cheat in first fight, the face off he only incriminates himself with his refusal to answer such simple questions.
i think its a shame this is brought up when Clearly Cotto fought an excellent fight and has looked the best since the first half of their first fight. Credit to Cotto and his trainer, hopefully he sticks with him:deal
Cotto seemed to be pushing Margo backward for some portions of the fight and even lowering his hands when he was in close, allowing Margo to hit with a few punches. Seemed to want to prove a point.
