No Povetkin for Wilder in 2015

    Everyone expected this fight to happen in 2015. Wilder is the wbc champ, and Povetkin has always been his n1 mando. At first they said they wanted an optional defense. They got that. Now they want another one. They got that too.

    At this point he ain't gonna fight anybody worth it until he cash out against Wlad. But he doesn't even wanna fight Wlad, so he'll probably end his career dumping the belt in 2017 or 2018 and disappearing into darkness.

    Yeah, I always said the plan was to fight stiffs and then cash out getting destroyed by Wlad, and I still think that is the most likely option.

    Some said he could make more money cashing out against Povetkin in Russia, but I don't think that's the case, otherwise the fight would've been made. The Wlad fight, here in the U.S., is where the big money is, and that's what Wilder's management is angling towards.
