How on earth is losing to Maske better than anything that Woods did? Woods fought with a lot of heart during his fights with Johnson. He got outfought, where as Rochigiani got outhustled and outworked.

I got no problem with Woods being 1-2 against Johnson, better than being 0-2 against Maske.

How on earth is it obvious? They both fought using the turtle shell defense, the main difference being that Woods had a better balance between defense and offense than Rochigiani had.

I watched that fight and thought that the best man won. I thought the comments that the commentators made were valid also, with Rochigiani giving too many rounds away due to his lack of workrate.

Rocky was better, period. More skilled, better performances. Never outclassed like Woods was.

You also don't understand what a dive is. DM was hit with a hard late shot which he wasn't expecting. Watch the replay from DM's right. He oversold it no more disgraceful than Hopkins does, just less convincing.

 

Prime Roy at SMW would have been outclassed by Calzaghe.
Just look at how bloated shot, damaged hand, above his weight Calzaghe was able to dominate Jones for 11 rounds.

By the time Roy fought Tarver, Tarver was better than DM, who had just been beaten by a Jones victim.
