    From the Klitschko Facebook page:

    "Dear Klitschko fans, unfortunately, the official Weigh-in will not be for the public due to technical conditions.

    We're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause! Your Team Klitschko"

    I've never heard of such a thing? Technical conditions?

    I was hoping for a serious answer....

    I don't remember a weigh-in that wasn't public for a Klitschko fight....and to announce 10-days
    before the weigh-in that it due to "technical conditions" it won't be public....that seems strange to me.

    I am a little bit serious, this is the list interesting fight klits have had since a long time, i think they just want to get it over with quick. However if he wanted to create attentionn on him in the UK, there should be more attention to the fight.

    It's just my opinion, but I think that's probably one of the reasons Chisora was selected, because he is from the UK. And as you say, if so there should be more attention to the fight, which not having a public weigh in goes against.

    Genuinely could be cause of lack of interest.

    Isn't a "public weigh-in", simply allowing some of the general public AND media access. While a weigh-in that's not public, would be media only.

    That doesn't seem like a huge difference to me....it doesn't even seem like lack of interest (if that was the case), would be cause to come out and say that the weigh-in wasn't going to be public. But I'm just guessing here....obviously.

    I just went online to the SAP Arena website to see what tickets it would let me buy. It looks like interest is definitely there (as I thought it would be).

    If you add up the available seats in all of the various sections, the SAP arena website is showing 1,022 seats as being available. That covers everything from the farthest seat from the ring, to ringside. The Arena holds around 15,000. So only 1,022 seats available seems like sales are good to me.

    Klit fight always fill the arenas no matter who they box. In Germany they love to see Klit fights. There is no build up at all here in the UK though. I think you will find that the majority and I mean massive majority of the seats sold will belong to Wlad fans.

    Obviously Klitschko is struggling to make the weight and they don't want anyone to see Vitali sneaking in to doctor the scales :twisted::good

    As awful as this fight is, I don't believe there is no public weigh-in due to lack of interest. Judging by the posters on this forum, I guarantee they could find 500 hardcore fans who'd go to any event that involves Wlad removing clothes.

    :lol::lol:

    But seriously no matter how much of an underdog Chisora is, it's for the World Heavyweight Championship! It's not like it's for some bogus strap or something...
