I wouldn't use the word "cured", because there is no cure. Medication can repress it to undetectable level, but once you have it, you have it. It extends your life, but it will get you at some point, probably when you get older when your immune system naturally takes a dip.
Right exactly. If he has it, he has it. Medication can help control it somewhat or keep it somewhat maintained but it's not like Morrison can say "Oh yeah I had it but uh...I lost it traveling through customs." It's still there.
The guy has boxed a couple of times recently, how is this possible if he has the AIDS? Where were these fights held that blood tests aren't mandatory.
It kinda makes me laugh that people took these claims seriously, coz if you think about it, if someone had actually successfully "cured" himself of HIV infection, then surely the scientific community would be really interested? It'd be big medical news, especially considering him being a former boxer. I know it's possible to remain healthy and live normally with the right drugs and hard work, but Tommy wasn't claiming he was managing his HIV, he claimed he'd got rid of it! Cured! That despite years of injecting herion, uprotected sex and prison time since his retirement, he was HIV-free and able to fight again! Let's get ****ing real, he shouldn't be allowed to box, there's a real risk of infection between two boxers during a fight. Riddick Bowe too, whilst I'm on it, he needs to stop being licensed. The man's half crazy by the sounds of things.
We were all into the Pac - Hatton fight, but get your ass offline and go back to covering the Swine Flu for CNN, Gupta.... lol.
i would never fight this living ****ing parasite,he should be banned from fighting,he's putting all his opponents in danger of getting aids!!!
I think he boxed in Texas, which doesn't have any real rules to abide by so to speak. And where was his last fight, like Wyoming or something?
He also fought on some Indian Reservation a couple of years ago in an MMA fight. Well, an MMA fight where he had the rules changed at last minute, so no takedowns or kicks were allowed. :-( He knows full well he has HIV, and he's happy to endanger the life of anyone stupid enough to fight him.
