In this case, Floyd was asking the current pound-for-pound king to do something because Floyd wants it. Add to that some pretty mean insinuations. They are at least equals, and if there is someone who has the more legitimate claim to be the superior I'm guessing it would be the fighter of the decade awardee, not someone who was coming from a pseudo-retirement.

As far as i was aware they both requested 1 additional thing each, weight penalties by pacquaio (just for Mayweather), Then proper tests by Mayweather (for both of them).

Even tho Floyd had already proven he was head an shoulder above Pacquaio on PPV sales against common opponents, he agreeed to a 50/50 spilt to make the fight happen.

Floyd agreed to Oscar, because he really wanted the fight.
Cotto agreed to Pacquaio because he really wanted the fight.

As we all know neither of them need the fight or the money, floyd only wants the fight for the money and Pacquiao being the best pay day around. (and an easy victory if he fights like he did against Shane) he has already admitted that he doesnt give a **** about titles and he is bound to get huge numbers no matter who he fights (Ala JMM).

Pacquiao seems more interested in politics now than fighting and IMHO he has no reason to fight on if not to fight mayweather.

So with this in mind it seems that this fight is bound not to be made if neither will budge on the sticking points

the only losers = the fans who dont get the chance to see the 1+2 PFP fighters fight to decide who really is the best.

PAC does not exclusively fight in Nevada only, tho his most recent fights been held there. Unlike Floyd who said that he won't fight outside his hometown Vegas from now on (that's what i've read here).

PAC can fight in Manila (Philippines), Japan, Thailand, Dubai, UK, Germany, Texas, Memphis, California, etc. Anywhere his fight promoters will put up the fight.

 

it's funny how pac and his handlers don't want to give in to mayweather's demand's but if it is regulated then they would. I find it interesting that Arum seems so interested in Texas lately.. maybe he has heard rumours of NSAC adopting olympic style testing. If it all goes ahead and then they refuse to fight in Nevada I will have absolutely no faith left in team Pacquiao.

I posted this before, but I am really getting mad about everyone saying bad things about Pac only because they are biased. Most of these posters don't know anything about performance enhancing drugs and they lack the facts.


Manny's actions are not suspicious if you have all the facts:

1. Mayweather's requests are unreasonable as they go against the common conventions of the sport.

2. Mayweather only does this to get in Manny's head and make him look bad.

3. Pac can't back down now without losing face.

4. Pac has passed every test that he has been given.

5. Mayweather's accusations are bringing the sport in a bad light for no good reason.

6. Mayweather makes the request because he is dodging Manny and doesn't want the fight.

7. Steroids cannot help a fighter.

8. Anything Pac is on would be detected by the ordinary testing procedures.

9. Blood loss from the test will weaken Manny.

10. Manny is afraid of needles.

11. The blood test will weaken Manny more because he is smaller.

12. Manny will take whatever tests are require by the commission over seeing the fight.

13. Manny strength comes from his countryman not from Roids.

14. Since Manny really believes that the blood test will harm him the results of taking the test could be devastating.

15. No performance enhancing drugs could ever help a fighter.

16. No one has ever used performance enhancing drugs in boxing because they would not work.

17. Olympic style testing is illegal in boxing.

18. Olympic style testing is corrupt and will be used to taint the congressman.

19. Olympic style testing is flawed and does not work.

20. Manny is clean because he says so.

21. Manny should be allowed to use performance enhancers because they don't work.

22. Manny should be allowed to use performance enhancers because he is used to cheating "within the rules"

23. Floyd is a criminal and Manny is a good man so he should be allowed to cheat to punish Mayweather who is a very bad man.

24. The sport is about skill so everyone should cheat as it doesn't matter anyway.

25. Performance enhancers cannot help you take a punch, therefore Manny is clean.

26. Performance enhancers cannot improve stamina therefore Manny is clean.

27. Manny would be too muscular if he was on Steroids, so since he doesn't look like a body builder he is clean.

28. We don't care about the health and safety of fighters so let them cheat as long as we are entertained!
