cut the kid some slack. he is young and under so much pressure. a whole nation is watching his every move. do you think that is easy for a 22 year old. the cut was not his fault and did what he had to do. plus he did show improvements.

Prior to the cut, the opening two minutes was the same pattern as it was for the remainder of the fight. Khan teeing off at will and Barrera eating leather. It wasnt competitive at any stage. And at the time, how many people saying the fight should have been a NC, were screaming the fight should be stopped after the 1st round???:think Not Barrera, his corner or anyone else for that matter, as you thought he would KO Khan easily..

Barrera got thrashed. Khan also was cut(on the eye) from the headclash Prescott rematch next or next but one for definate
When the doctor first looked at the cut he wanted to stop it but was persuaded by Barrera to let him have another round to try and win it. You could see Barrera pleading with him to let him carry on. Barrera had no interest in attempting a no contest and all credit to him for that especially as he was getting thrashed
the fight should have been stopped in the 4th. i didnt see the cut get worse from round 4 to 5. senseless win IMO. it should have been a NC
After reviewing the Barrera vs Khan fight, Khan is not ready for any of the top names I mean he was slowing down in the fight and there is no way he could keep up that work rate. Somebody like Marquez would eat Khan for breakfast. No problem. He would make Khan burn himself out and then start putting an assault on Khan after 4 rounds.
That's what I'm saying . . . it's just a matter of time before he will slow down completely and will be there for the taking . . . that's why i'm talking of a MAB TKO in the later rounds.
