No sane person can dismiss my claim that Joe Calzaghe is the best boxer of all time..

I don't understand what relevance this has. Lennox, obviously.

What was the point in that question?

Muhmammed ali had reflexes, heart, adaptability, speed all in excess and all the other attributes you stated for joe,yet ali also PROVED he could use these attributes against ATG opposition and win,not just against the peter manfredos of this world.....(and in place of ali i could substitute dozens of other fighters,napoles,whitaker,monzon,gavilan,armstrong,etc,etc,etc....and on and on and on.)
Ali also looked bloody fantastic in his prime, faster puncher, faster reflexes and better footwork than joe, never mind p4p.....Ali also beat great fighters when past his prime,i think foreman and frazier rank somewhat higher than mikkel, hell oscar bonavena has more resume than kessler......

What do you think of honeyghans demolition of prime curry ( far better than lacey and kessler, curry was ranked p4p no1 in the sport, even ray leonard stated this.) ,or hearns' wreckages against proven greats cuevas and duran? Or foremans demolition twice against atg unbeaten frazier?
Holyfields destroying of tyson? There are many more examples in history of much better fighters than lacey getting schooled, even some atgs have gotten schooled by other atgs (eg frazier by foreman, ali v liston twice.) ,what say you china? Is foreman the best of all time for his demolitions of atg frazier, his demolition of hall of fame norton and his beating of world champ moorer at age 45? You follow the parallel logic china?

Fraizer is only an ATG because he beat Ali.

He wasn't that good really. Americans have a habit, when two Americans fight they both become overrated. They never consider the possiblity they were both ordinary. Like Taylor - Hopkins. Both were ordinary, but Americans were convinced they were both P4P still.

Hearns beat up a smaller Duran.

Curry was only a percieved P4P number one and won rounds in that fight. Like past prime Jones before Tarver beat him.

I appreciate it that you have actually tried to argue against it, rather than just laughing at the notion like most people. But now I think you'll come round and have to agree with me here.

Can I say welcome to enlightenment?

Ali is arguably the greatest heavyweight of all-time. Not to mention the great wins over Quarry, Foster, Bonavena, Chuvalo etc..

Agreed in the case of Taylor/Hopkins, but lets not generalise. Two fighters in the top 10 rankings are there because they're both great fighters, regardless of their nationality.

You seem to have a overly agressive negative opinion on the US media. In a lot of cases, they are wrong, but not every single time. Let it go...

Just youtube ali v london, williams or liston or any ali fight from the mid sixties....
Ali had much quicker footwork than joe and could dance for the full 15 in his prime....
p4p if joe could get past alis' jab then he would have nothing to hit and could not avoid all the lightning punches coming back....
And joe v duran p4p,well that just brings tears to my eyes.....:scaredas: :scaredas: :scaredas: Can you say overwhelmed? Joe would be run out of the ring....
ps;with americans hyping as you claim, dont you see the irony with joes 'best win/performance' over american unproven hype product lacy? How many greats or atgs on calzgahes record by the way?

Ali could only edge a SMW Calzaghe, let alone P4P.

    Duran "No Mas"
    Calzaghe "He can't punch ****."

Calzaghe eats up pressure fighters in mythical P4P matchups even ones with Durans ability and timing.

Now you are really getting silly, ali would knock joe out easy at heavy, and joe couldnt carry duran tortillas from the weigh in....
What happened to joe with kabery 'atg' salem?
The way you talk calzaghe should move up to cruiser or even heavy and make millions and create a great legacy, fact is joe would **** himself v any heavyweight and would be knocked out clean by david haye easily.......
ps; joe struggled with blown up middles and pressure fighters sakio and ashira, multiply them by a hundred each and you get a tenth of prime roberto.....

Because Aii was brilliant against smaller fighters...

He was knocked down by a journeyman, 185 Cooper...and other midgets inferior to Calzaghe lasted the distance. Calzaghe would lose to prime Ali, but the is no reason why he could last the distance. Ali wouldn't be able to club like say a Lewis or Foreman.

Ali would struggle against anyone as fats and skilled as Calzaghe.

Calzaghe is a better boxer than Hatton... leagues better.

and if Cal beats Kessler... and then goes on to beat two more top challengers... he will make the Top 100 easily...

If he beats Kessler at age 35, I will think highly of him. But best boxer of all time? Sorry but no buddy. No way you can rank him above guys like Ali, SRR, SRL, Whitaker, etc.

Kessler is good but beating him alone will not get anybody anywhere even near top 50 let alone greatest boxer.

    No way.

If Mayweather is able to beat shane and cotto...i'd give him that title. Mayweather has beaten every type of boxer out there...slick...power...size...any advantage u can think of he's overcome.

shyt...mayweather has done more RIGHT NOW before even fighting cotto or mosley to get the title over calzaghe...you're crazy
