:twisted: Instead of hearing Glenn McRory and Nelson waffle on, why not show what both Pacquao and Clottey had to say afterwards? SKY have on a few occasions not shown post interviews. Has anyone got any links please?
Yeah, I was waiting for that myself and you got to hear was a typical useless McCrory harp on about just how big a fight between Mayweather vs Pacquiao would be. Like nobody knows that? atsch
They didn't borrow the pictures-they paid for the Top Rank international feed, and just stuck their commentary over the top instead of whoever does it for TR. No idea why they didn't take TR's interviews afterwards, but its up online now... http://www.skysports.com/video/clips/0,23791,13273_6026143,00.html Presumably they just think everybody turns off and goes to bed once the fight is done.
:goodNice one for the link. I was a bit disappointed by the decision not to show them, but just figured it was due to TR rights. I was falling asleep by that stage anyway..
When Jim and Ian were doing the prefight talk you could see their ugly mugs on the jumbo-tron screen thingy
Sky are a ****in disgrace , they show adverts between rounds there build up is shite and Jim Watt and Ian Darke are ****in clowns especially Watt , i ****in hate that that twat , Sky are shite i would of much much rather have heard the Showtime / Top Rank commentary TBH .
Agreed, Sky's coverage of boxing is ****. Darke is okay though, I used to like Jim Watt but I guess now that the novelty of the accent has worn off I can see he's not that good.
He's outdated mate , he's too familir of a voice now we need a new angle , Watt is a twat and thats the end of it , the whole commentary specially when watching British fighters is completley biased towards a) the British fighter or b) the fighter who is seen to be the favourite , too much slagging , too many judgemental predictions during the fight i.e. " these are the worst moments in Ricky's career " , or " John Duddy looks embarassing " there a pair of jokes . And Darke does comment a lot out of term about fighters . Quick note to Sky , take heed of HBO commentary , JUST SAY WHAT YOU SEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I feel the reason Sky Sports shows live fights from the states so few and far between is because they have the added cost of having to fly Watt and Smith over to do the commentary to make it seem much more of a Sky production. Setanta was happy to use the Top Rank feed with the Top Rank commentary and in all honesty I would prefer that over the drivel spouted by Jim Watt.
