No true boxing fan should EVER pay to see either fighter if this fight collapses !

they have already established legacy's but if this fight doesn't happen it will almost certainly go a long way in tarnishing their legacies. Riddick Bowe's legacy was SERIOUSLY tarnished by ducking Lewis. Roy Jones' legacy is seriously tarnished by not taking fights against DM and Hopkins back in the early 2000s.

And you're dreaming if you think Floyd would sign to fight PW at this point. If he wouldn't fight Manny for $40 million, why would he fight PW for less than $10 million. If he did that he would officially be the biggest moron in boxing history.

if Pac vs Bradley and Floyd vs Mosley, Berto, Cotto, Clottey, or Margarito are not fights that the fans want to see then the sport is in bad shape because of the fans. The promoters have nothing to do with it.

I never said that Pac/Bradley and Floyd/Mosely aren't good fights, but that isn't the point.

Like I said, if boxing cannot put the two best fighters in the ring together and make that happen first, then NOTHING should be acceptable. Not Mayweather/Mosely, not Pac/Bradley. Boxing fans should not have to settle for anything less than the best competing against the best! NFL fans get to see the best teams play the best teams every season. So do MLB, NBA, NHL, Tennis, Golf, etc. The entire structure of those sports ensures that EVERY YEAR the two best teams/competitors will play each other in a championship match. Did Pete Sampras and Andre Aggasi ever refuse to play each other in the US Open final because they couldn't agree on terms?? The mere thought of that is absurd, yet it's common place in boxing.

Why the FUKK aren't we boxing fans allowed that same BASIC of rights as a fans that all those other sports fans have???

I'll tell you why, because we put up with this shyt. We say, "fine you robbed us of getting a chance to see a Superbowl, so we'll settle for the number 2 team playing the number 4 team instead and pretend that it's as good as watching the number 1 team play the number 2 team".

If we as fans don't make our voices hear clearly, then we'll keep getting treated like shyt. Throughout this entire negotiations it's all been about the fighters egos and how they don't want to make it appear as though either side is pushing around the other. Who gives a shyt! Just make the fight for the fans, the ones who pay both of your damn bills.

actually in the NFL, you don't necessarily get the best playing the best. If a lesser team upsets a better one in the Conference finals, then that lesser team is going to the super bowl. On any given sunday any team can lose to the other. The fans often don't get to see the best play the best.

    Every sport has its weaknesses.

Pac and Floyd are the 2 best by consensus, not by some kind of playoff format where all other opponents were eliminated. You can't compare boxing to other sports because there is no matchmaking system.

I disagree that they dont need each other, thats like saying JCC & Pea never needed to fight either, just let the fans guess at who was the superior fighter & p4p no1, they NEED to settle this for the fans & the world, them saying they dont need each other doesnt cut it, far, far from it.

Also... I would LOVE to watch FMJ v PW but I will not line the pockets of a fighter that doesnt give 1 **** about the fans & the sport that made him what he is today (this goes for both FMJ & Pac), a sport which I have massive respect for.

    **** that !

This fight must happen, any other scenario is a failure.

 Just dont go blowin your house on this pipe dream homie..:rofl Drop some money on Paulie if you want, but don't be stupid. Loosing a little money on a bad bet is by far better than loosing the roof over your head on a dumb ass bet.

I also think Pacquiao is more to blame (& he does seem guilty as sin tbh) but Floyd also has the power to prevent this fight from collapsing & neither are doing ****... its bull****, very sad actually.

I'll pay money for a Bradley-Pacquiao fight. Malignaggi-Pac is a very decent tuneup since Malignaggi fights very slick but it is in no way ppv material.

Didn't bother watching the Marquez Floyd PPV. I did buy Floyd's other fights including the Judah-Floyd, Floyd-ODLH, and Floyd-Hatton.

If Floyd fights Mosley/Berto winner, I'd pony up money.

I still feel Pac is a 140 fighter and Floyd is a 147 fighter.

The problem with these type of boycotts is you're hurting yourself, not the fighters. Maybe a reasonable boycott would be to not shell out any money for their future fights, unless they are fighting another champion of some sort. After that, don't pay but just download the fights later on.

If Pac fights Mosley. Or if Floyd fights Mosley... I'm probably buying.

Upsets happen in all sports, but if a team reaches the Superbowl that means they proved they were the best team in their division that year. There is no questioning that. If Marquez beat Mayweather in September, then we would be talking about another Pacquiao/Marquez fight now.

And the Superbowl analogy fits fine, because at the end of the day, whether it is a matchmaking style sport (of which there is only boxing and MMA) or tournament style, fans deserve to see the "consensus" two best face each other. That is a VERY simple concept and one that should be the foundation of ANY sport.

What is the point of even having a televised sport if the best aren't forced to fight the best on a consistent basis?? And big time boxing isn't just televised, we're actually forced to PAY for it!! Arum and Pacquiao should be given Pete Rose style lifetime bans from boxing if they actually make a Malignaggi fight on PPV.
