He probably would’ve held it together for longer if Tyson weren’t around, but it’s a pretty big leap of faith to expect him to actually string together several victories in a row.
Tyrell Biggs still would’ve been due a shot in 87. He’d have a decent chance against Tucker, Smith, or whomever he would fight.
Thomas drifted back into drugs so his chances of ever stringing anything together were gone i reckon.
That was directly related to getting his ass kicked by Tyson, whcih wouldn't have happened in this scenario. (According to Pink, who sometimes contradicts himself.)
There's a lot of conflicting reports about. At any rate i don't think he ever recovered his pre-Berbick form and for me was never going to get much of anything going again certainly not for a string of fights against better contenders.
