No undisputed shot for Parker

Eddie Hearn alluded that Dave Allen has been offered as a potential opponent for Joseph Parker in September in the UK.

 

A) his legacy is going to be 12 title fights so far, with a thirteenth scheduled.

B) His career is apparently nowhere near over, yet.

 

That would be disappointing.
Hope Dave has the brains to swerve this one. Parker will fight whoever gets out in front of him but he should think about what this would look like as well and give it a miss.

 

Reckon it will be Parker-Chrisora III.

 

What sense does that make for Parker?

Parker is interim WBO champion and Allen not ranked top 15 anywhere except for the WBA, where he is #12.

I guess it would be a payday for Parker but f... all else.

 

I think they have yet to update the rankings, as Fisher is still at nr 13. Allen is taking his ranking in the next update.
Not that this makes it any better of a fight.

At least it keeps Parker busy, I guess. And both men get paid, which they deserve.

 

Might as well just wait for his shot
