This resulted in Hrgovic downfall in IBF ladder, since he was already burned by IBF before where he was mandatory for 2 years, did he just duck Sanchez or did he just say screw you IBF What would be the angle here after winning Adeleye fight - WBO has Parker attacking Usyk Only obivous thing is that he would attack Usyk/Parker winner after taking out Kurbart Pulev who is WBA interim and next in rotation for the belt
For starters, Sanchez isn't that good... So it's not like swerving him means much if you fight someone better, and there's plenty to choose from. Equally... Hrgovic has a history of being a ***** and hiding away from challenges at a time when he thinks it might be better to sit on his ass than risk a loss. And, also, Hrgovic isn't actually that good either - he's super durable, but only average power and with a very poor gas tank - he'll never be a real contender, IMHO.
Fellow countryman, I haven't seen you in a long time, I think Hrgovic chose a more profitable fight, he doesn't care about titles anymore, he just wants to make money...
I think there was no money in it, he'd make more fighting Brits on their cards. It happens a lot with IBF fighters because they work their way up the rankings more than the other orgs where the rankings are more likely to go to people who are more popular with good promoters and backing.
Sanchez is still a risk for nothing. Say what you will, but Hrgovic knows he will move, spoil, and counter without a care in the world because he has nothing to lose and a Cuban reputation already preceding him. It took Kabayel seven rounds of immense pressure to take Frank out while he had a bad knee; Hrgovic is two leagues below Agit when it comes to the engine, combination, pressure, and finishing ability. Very evident in their respect showings against Zhang (Bang was younger in one instance, granted) and how Hrgovic toiled to stop McKean who was blasted out by Itauma.
