More people are overselling Marquez's reflexes, durability, speed, and smarts. Rios is a bigger man too.

Rios IS a juggernaut, he's probably the most devastating pressure fighter in the world right now and Marquez has been in trouble against lesser. Wait for Marquez to lose to Pac. In the meantime rios will have signed against Vazquez or Soto, and he'll murder them. Then he'll take it to JMM, and nobody will give him credit.

I remember watching Soto fight like a year ago and he didn't impress me as he usually does, but regardless... Rios is open to be hit. And you don't, absolutely don't want to get hit by Soto. He's got a right and a left hook.
Juanma, would most likely do the same, but the guy is getting older.

    Good win by Rios though.

I think he's tailor made for Marquez. The only guys to give Marquez problems are fast (Pacquiao) or slick (Mayweather, John) boxers. Guys like Rios, who come forward will get counter bad once Marquez figures him out just like he did with Diaz and Katsidis, two come forward fighters. Rios is almost like the new Margarito for me. He's pretty slow and once he fight someone who can box he will be exposed. The bigger top two fighters, Mayweather and Pacquiao couldn't put Marquez down for good so I don't see how a fighter a level below them will.

I'd favor Rios over any 135lber right now. If he can continue to make the weight, I suspect that he'll reign in the division for the foreseeable future.

No way JMM stands up to Rios, he's the better fighter and I genuinely respect the he'll out of him, but as it stands today Rios stops him.

    Katsidis? No...no way.

Marquez? I think so. Rios could make things hairy for Marquez, but I can't bring myself to make JMM the underdog there. Not yet.

Soto? Maybe. That one's too close to call for me.

Big difference between him and Tony, Rios has legit 1 punch power, and he's better defensively

I'd make Rios the favorite over Soto, but I don't think he beats JMM. Kats WOULD have been an awesome fight for Rios, but he hasn't been the same since the Marquez fight.

Takes more than 1 punch to take Marquez down and make him stay there. Ask Floyd and Pac. And Rios is not that fast and can be telgraphed which smells countering trouble.

marquez is not stupid enough to stand in front of Rios and go banging like Antillon did tonight, Rios was the bigger man so of course he was gonna win out even if he was eating shots. marquez is a top 5 p4per and the best lightweight in the sport even at his advanced age he could outbox Rios with counters and movement, Rios's only hope would be to go for the early KO, if it doesn't happen in the first 4 rounds, marquez takes it.
