Seems the WBC is keen on their titlists actually unifying, and Wilder will be no exception. They only want the VERY best holding their title, ie GGG, Kovalev, Pacqioua, and Klitschko. If Wilder doesnt get 7 figures+ to fight Potvetkin, he'll get a money fight vs Browne/Chaggy winner, fulfilling his mandate, then fight whichever WBA nobodies he can until Potvetkin's mgr comes up with the $$$$ to satisfy Wilder's lifetime financial needs. :think
I think Helenius vs Wilder would come down to footspeed. Bob would not be able to cut the ring and Wilder would control the fight with his superior jab. Wilder has better power too. The only thing Helenius has on Wilder is his chin.
Helenius is a poor man's Klitschko like Fury but I think he easily destroys Wilder. Inactive or not, he was ranked top ten in the world not too long ago. He's got as good a record as any heavyweight not named Klitschko: Brewster, Peter, Liakhovich, Chisora. Helenius is actually the more experienced fighter compared to Wilder because he had 120 more amateur bouts. Wilder's form and technique still look like **** as he just tries to load up on people and swing, trusting in his power to win the day each time. In a head to head match I'd have to favor Helenius.

There are only three fighters in the world who can command a ten million dollar purse Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Klitschko and they've all been dominant pound for pound champions for a decade. Roman Gonzalez is 42 and O, 12 title fights and he's never made one million dollar payday. Guillermo Rigondeaux undefeated 9 title fights, 3 Olympic gold medals, career best earnings of $750,000. Golovkin got 400k for Stevens, 750k for Geale. Didn't Kovalev fight Bernard Hopkins for 500k? If anybody deserves that kind of money it's these warriors, not Deontay Wilder. I can see him demanding that kind of fee if he beat Wladimir Klitschko, but so far he's only beat Bermaine Stiverne.

If he ups it to 15 mil, Wilder will probably cash out. Most likely though, he defends against Szpilka for a mil, he unifies with Chaggy/Browne for a few mil, then fights Haye for 10 mil, that is unless Vlad Hyrnov ups the offer. :think
You can't unify regular belts with official belts. Only the champ(Wlad WBA) can do that. While the regular gets a 25% split of the purse.

Nobody in today's HW division KO's Helenius in his today physical condition which has dramatically improved from Sauerland days. Helenius is fundamentally good boxer and has good chin and it has been tested. Only thing Wilder has on Helenius is faster legs. Helenius is bigger and stronger. Wilder might be able to outpoint Helenius, but that we won't know until they face each other, if they ever will. *edit* Helenius's weigh-in was 110kg
No, he was not 226lbs. I remember reading somewhere that the Estonians announced his weight wrong. I believe he weighed 246.
