A lot of people on here think this. I think they probably just saw the Hopkins and Jones fight and presumed from there; only reason he fought that way in those fights is due to Jones and Hopkins being defensive and taking the counter punch role themselves so he had to force the fight.

Joe is not a "CONVENTIONAL" Pressure fighter meaning he's not just applying pressure with out a game plan....Hatton is a pressure fighter in every sense of the word

But due to Joe's out put offensively....that is pressure anyway you cut it. It's a more effective pressure style b/c there is a method to his maddness but Joe in every fight is putting on the pressure more so than his opponents.

Joe has a chance at beating PAC if they were in the same division and around the same age but ultimately PAC has certain qualities that not JOE, ROY or FLOYD have. It's his ability to overcome and impose his will even over guys who are clearly better boxers....Joe wouldn't be any different than JMM.... but I think PAC would capitalize on how busy Joe is..he's very open and if it wasn't for his reflexes he'd get hit a lot more than he has in his career. Pac has the same issue but POWER s the great equalizer and that is why PAC would win in my opinion.

Joe would get knocked out. 2 fighters who use workrate, both have speed, difference is one is alot more explosive and carry alot more power.

To put it into perspective, look at what a pressure fighter like Bika did to Joe? Now imagine more power, more speed, more explosive, and much better boxing skills and combinations.

Just becasue the great hope in pavlik was systematically destroyed by BHOP you assume he would have beaten joe, the fact is BHOP knew he couldnt beat joe by boxing him so resorted to holding and making it ugly.
Your assumption that BHOP lifted his skills and performance for Pavlik is ludicrous.
What you should ask your self is was pavlik any good in the first place? JOe didnt think so and was proved right.
BHOP is clever he fought the only way he thought could nick a decision against calzaghe.
This rather tired assumption that the BHOP who fought Pavlik was somehow far better than against joe is very short sighted and very biased.
Hopkins made it a terrible fight to watch, but i give him some credit for respecting how good calzaghe is.

Pac would walk through Calzaghe's slaps and run him over over. BHop & RJJ both knocked Joe down, RJJ did it clean...Pac is harder p4p puncher than both guys and throws about 10* more the punches. Joe is no JMM who can throw perfect combinations, he beat both BHop and RJJ by workrate...he slapped them to exhaustion. You really think he is gonna slap Pac into exhaustion?

Visualize people and you shall see the light.
